I was 8-19 deese was the 3rd scorer on my team and he goes pro? how can you build a winning team if players go pro when u are trying to improve? We won maybe 3-4 conf games all season....This is pushing me over the edge

I understand his abilities arn't improving but there are guys who dont improve after their soph seasons and the dont go pro

Losing him when you're 8-19 is something that you can bring up with WIS, and I would.

Losing him because he averaged 10.7 ppg is not. That's mostly a function of how much distro you gave to him.

It's not about whether he's improving. It's about the fact that he's just a stud.

Thanks Grit..I sent a ticket in asking how can i improve if my 8-19 team loses players to the NBA...when i think i might be able to get to 500 next season with a recruit or to they take the rug out from under me...

I would ask them if anything has changed with the new update ... I truly can't recall an 8-win team losing a player early previously.

Why would a stud of that calibre want to come back for his senior year when .500 is the best he can hope for?  Who wouldn't go pro?

Yeah, that's my gut feeling, too.  But this is one of those times when using real life as the standard will ultimately hurt mid-majors.

That's not why the guy left -- players in HD don't have the ability to make those kinds or rationalizations.

(And udm, God help us if they try to apply those types of rationalizations -- bad news. What you laid out is not how it works in HD, thankfully.)

this was a simple anthropomorphism - i don't think (actually i'm pretty sure) that anyone in these forums believes that a simulated player has a thought process of what's best for their non-existent career. the point was that in mirroring reality, it would not be out of the realm of possibility that a player would leave rather than remain on a team destined for .500. right or wrong, WIS implements this type of logic (i.e., what would happen irl) in other areas.

Early entries never add to the customer experience. They always hurt it. Why WIS would continue to employ them, when it can only drive customers away, and can never attract new ones, is a continuing source of frustration to me. Why not get rid of all early entries. All customers would be happier. Sure, some coaches would think at times, "wow, it sure is tough to compete for a championship when team X, which won the last 2 titles, keeps reloading." But no coach would ever leave out of that relatively slight frustration. And all coaches would get a great deal of customer pleasure knowing that each player he'd painstakingly recruited and developed, was coming back to fulfill an ultimate HD destiny. Coaches/customers would absolutely love it. As it is now, coaches such as justcamman leave regularly out of clear frustration from losing these type players.

Yes that is one of the main reasons I just took a job at Grambling St. I can not compete against teams that have been powerhouses if The sim doesnt allow my players to get better. Heck the players that the powerhouses sign are better at signings then guys that I get to improve over 3 seasons and then they leave after taking my lumps with them improving. I wish I could get the reward of the player improving....Oh Well back to mid majors for me and guys staying their full term...;)I am not disgruntled I just know i am made for a mid major job instead

js, I'm not sure that I agree with this premise. I used to, when mid-majors were extremely competitive. But now that the BCS schools are so dominant, I think eliminating EE's would force even more people from the non-BCS DI conferences.

If they could fix recruit generation and return that part of the game to how it was a year or two ago (i.e. mid-majors being extremely competitive), then I think this is an idea to revisit. But right now, I think it would cause more harm then good.
