Awkward Walk On Situation Topic

I just "landed" a D3 walk on with a 65 defensive rating.... and high potential
A. Should I get him some PT?
B. Anyone ever have something like this happen to them?

Unless he's high-high in ATH, LP and a lot of those other categories, his high defense will not make up for his complete lack of other talent.  I wouldn't want a 24 ATH, 11 SPD, 34 REB man in the post, and his single digits in PA/BH/PE/LP means he can't play on the offensive side of the court.

You don't have that many other options

I wouldn't play him much because he doesn't look good enough to offer a scholarship.  This season is basically a lost cause anyway, so you'll be better off in the long run letting your guys who can be good in the future play as many minutes as possible.

Agreed. I'm sure you can recruit a better player next recruiting period than what this walk-on will end up being.
