How well would a 70 ATH 60 RB big do on the boards? I have a RD who will play next season with these stats but I really wonder what it takes to get a double double guy.

You won't get anywhere close to 10 RPG out of that guy.  Frankly, it's hard to get 10 RPG out of anybody on a good team because rebounds tend to get shared between your center and forwards.

Not even if I ran uptempo and his RB grew another 10-15 pts?

Extraordinarily unlikely.  Would be highly unlikely even in D3.  And I'm not sure uptempo helps you; in the case of rebounding, you might actually be able to average a few more boards for the PLAYER running slowdown so he spends more time on the court.  Obviously as a team your total rebounds would drop, but that player would stand to gain a substantially larger proportion of the team's boards.

I always felt like when I have a pressing team at D3, I want my PF to be at least at 30 Speed. I also remember early on in my coaching career, I had a C in D3 that was really slow, and also not that Athletic, but had 99 Reb. He would still only get 7-8 rebounds a game I believe. My thinking is it would help him get to the ball faster for a rebound.
When I run press(DIII) I try to get my C to 30 SPEED and PF to 40 SPEED.  I add 10 for each level.   It doesn't always work out that way but it is my goal.

The only time I have ever really come close to having a double-double guy is with this guy:

He is a 80Ath/50spd guy with 99 Reb. I am also inclined to believe that his scoring output is aided at least in a small way by his speed.

biggest factor for rebounding is reb, not ath. I have had 30 ath/99 reb guys outrebound 60ath/85 reb guys while they were on the same team.

This guy averaged 10.6 points and 9.1 rebounds as a JR, maybe he can do it his senior year.

wow 20-10 guy!! that's a star!! And tianyi I agree with you but the player guide says that the RB stat is just like the DEF stat... you know the fundamentals and have the desire but it clearly states that if you don't have the ATH you never will be a great RB. Yes RB has more to do with RB but secondary stats are required to move you ahead of the rest of the pack. And I would look at how my guys outrebound the oponents rather than each other. How did your 30 ATH 99RB player fare against players with much higher ATH?

At D2 this guy is pretty slow but still puts up good numbers because he is pretty athletic and has good cores.

It's funny because the guy you just called a star only has 37 ATH...  Then you go on to pontificate on the necessity of ATH for successful rebounding.

I sure did that guy is also a D3 guy. I simply liked the stats dash. How many players have you seen averaging 20-10? I also merely quoted the player guide and it pretty much says that word for word. So either it is wrong or there are variances between divisions.

He grabbed 1000 reb for his career, I believe he was avg close to 11 reb his SR season. Couldn't have fared that poorly against superior athletes.

Oh ok I guess 99 RB can get you there then. I guess my question now is what is considered decent ATH ?
