I don't have anything against the idea, but I can't imagine it would be popular enough to justify the hours of work WIS would need to make it work, or of pushing any changes that the game could use down the priority list.

If you and a buddy want to do this, then do it and just alternate buying seasons.

I just wanted to know what people thought but really didnt care too much.

We do this informally. I do the majority of the stuff, but when i'm unavailable my roommate gameplans and recruits. That and we make all our decision jointly.

There have been accounts before that were run by multiple coaches. I guess they used the teams to test stuff for their real accounts.

That or to learn from other coaches. I did this with another coach for 3 seasons at the D2 level, before hopping to D2 on my main account, to learn that game. He had an extra ID and was willing to help me learn. We averaged 17 wins per season, made one NT (lost in the first round), and won one CC. But I learned quite a bit, and was more ready when I moved to D2 Iba.

I think it would be a short term hit but after a few seasons not many would participate. Teams could work like a google doc though. For instance, a coach could make some of their pages open to view for coaches who they give permission to and there would be an area for the viewing coach to make notes. Would be good for mentor/mentee relationships, but don't know if it is practical.

under the current payment model i don't think co-op could work...but its definitely not impossible to succeed with assistant coaches in a game like this. see exhibit A: goalline blitz

I did a co-op with a coach for about 10 seasons under a different username.  I did recruiting/player development and he did gameplanning.  It worked out pretty well and we had some good runs, but eventually I just didn't want to do it anymore as we had some disagreements about some player management.
