Do I recruit this player? Topic

Hey everyone, last time around I showed everyone my 2nd recruiting class which was deemed bad, but decent for it only being my 2nd class. I had some extra money and used FSS on a small state when the next generation of recruits ruled around. My question is, when next year rolls around do I recruit this guy? Is it a good pickup? Im a C- prestige D3.

Athleticism 25 High   Perimeter 16 High
Speed 13 High   Ball Handling 11 Low
Rebounding 51 Low   Passing 10 High
Defense 21 High   Stamina 68 Average
Shot Blocking 36 High   Durability 50 Low
Low-post 51 High   FT Shooting   High
WE 57. I won't post who this player is so others can't find him. Is it alright If I post potentials before I sign this guy?

What position? I think it's a post judging from BH, but yes, I'd recruit him. Be ready to let him go, though, as many will see all the Highs and be tempted. You can probably find someone similar and/or better, so if another, higher prestige school gets on him, jump ship.

So should I delete this post? HA

A 50 ATH, 50 REB, 75 LP with decent FT is pretty solid for DIII.

Pass. He can't play guard position with his ath/spd and can't play big with the 51 reb.

I strongly disagree. If I had a C- prestige I would sign him in a heartbeat.

I'm with tianyi here. 50 reb isn't cutting it, even at DIII.

I agree that he isn't a stud by any means. But he can be a solid big man for a C- prestige team. Compared to the players he was signing before, this recruit is a huge improvement. As tianyi pointed out, I'm sure he can find a better big man out there somewhere, but like I said I wouldn't shy away from signing this kid

I think, for me, it would depend on if he had high/high potential in Ath, Spd, Def, SB, and LP.  If he did, I'd sign him to a C- prestige D3 team.  However, if those categories aren't high/high (or least four of the five anyway), I'd probably look somewhere else.

I just show you 5 players, who are all open to C- teams, that are undecided right now in Rupp. And this is after Rupp signing has already passed, so these guys are the leftovers. If you agree that those 5 player I posted are better than the player posted by the OP, then the conclusion must be he shouldn't sign the original player and go for better ones.

I disagree. For a bench player hes going to be a great scorer at D3. By his senior year he could be a guy that averages double digits off the bench, especially if he has a RS.

some of those players tianyi listed would be starters not bench players...

I see the 1st guys as a 4 or maybe 3.     I just think if his LP is HIGH_HIGH he could be a very effective scorer, and a decent defender.

Not really. This guy has to be high high in ath/spd/def to be comparable, and those 3 categories are huge. Even if they are high-high, would be quite a stretch to have them grow like that.
