Highest scoring team ever? Topic

Not sure if anyone charts these sorts of things...but this is impressive:

I realize the SOS isn't the greatest right now, but 118 ppg is pretty absurd against anyone.

That team that held him to 94 points on 55% shooting must be proud...

Grinnell or Loyola Marymount for sure :)

And they still managed 84.... Usually, that's one of my HIGHEST outputs on a season. That is his lowest through 16 games.

That is a fantastically talented D2 team. They could be 16-0 against the #1 SOS.

I wonder if they ran any of the basic 3 offenses uptempo and man to man defense if they still would of put up the same numbers?

What I find special is the lack of three point shooting from the team, not attemping 20 or more threes at all, and never making more than 9 in a single game, but still putting up 100+ a game.

very strong IQs with 5 seniors and a junior that was redshirted.

Undefeated against the #1 SOS?   That may be a stretch as I would think a very good D3 team  (such as:  http://whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Default.aspx?tid=4889 ) would easily win 20+ games against this schedule.

That's pretty damn impressive. And I noticed the same dude has taken over sleeping giant Caldwell in Iba D2... so Iba D2 just got that much tougher.

Wow! Steigerwald averaging 29 in 23 mins. a game!?

While their total scoring output came down at the end of the season and they ended up averaging about 108 per game, they did go on to win the National Championship.  Had a couple nailbiters in the first two rounds and then mopped the floor with some really good teams over the last 4 games

...You and I have very different ideas of floor-mopping.

28, 16, 25, and 10 in a championship game where they held a 10 point lead for most of the last 30 minutes of the game?  Ok guess they should have done more to prove that they were a good team and could hang with the big boys.

108-80...28pts is a floor mopping
82-66...16 pts...not quite a total floor mopping, but the mop was getting wet.
94-64...30 pts is a floor mopping

The only game that wasn't a total blowout was the game he played against you, cornfused, where it was a 10 pt game.
