I just finished my first recruiting go round with A- prestige at D2 and was wondering what everyne thought of my class. Here is what they look like:
Carl Scanlon- WE 45 w/ 4 years eligibility

Swafford and Scanlon were low level pulldowns. I missed out on one great pulldown that I should've had, but live and learn. What do you guys think?

Swafford has only 38 WE though.

Could be great players but those low potentials in ath/speed are killer. Especially true for the two freshman who are both a little too slow and unathletic for a D2 SF.

Swafford should become a pretty good scorer. Scanton is pretty average for your level. You can get better than Johnson his starting values are too low for the risk of getting him. 
Word of advice when looking for the super impover types make sure they have higher starting values and/or high potential in spd/ath. 

Swafford is going to be ok, not great, but also playable. He looks like a scorer with that bh and per, but when he gets matched up against those 80/80/80 ath/spd/def players, more often than not, he's going to shoot blanks or get into foul trouble.

The first two guys really don't belong on D2 rosters. All those highs looks flashy, but ath/spd are both capped, and will be huge handicaps. 

Okay thanks guys. I still am trying to figure out the ATH and SPD part of recruiting. Luckily, these guys will all be role players for hopefully most of their careers.

at DII i tried to never recruit anyone that didn't have avg or high pot in ath and speed...

My rule of thumb for D2 backcourt is, if combined ath/spd will not top 120,  I will not recruit him. And this is the bare minimum, assuming he has great defense and rebound or guard stats (bh/passing). Generally, I aim for 140+.

That's for D2. D3 is alittle lower, but not by much. D1 is higher, how much depends on prestige.
