I'll soon have a situation where I enter recruiting with no available scholarships (12 scholarship players on the roster, no seniors). As I understand the game, this means I will get to carry over 100 percent of my recruiting dollars to the following year. (please correct me if I'm wrong!) What I'm not clear on is exactly what I can/can't do while still preserving that full cash rollover.

Specifically, I'd like to scout JUCO players to see if I can find a player at a specific position fluent in my Off/Def for the possibility of changing out a weak link player with a stronger option for a possible/hopeful deep NT run (no, I don't care about the half-step coaching reputation hit that would entail...). Does anyone know for certain whether making 5-10 coaches calls cost me the 100% rollover, or do I get 100% carryover of whatever is left so long as I don't cut/sign anybody?

interesting - i think you can spend money and still get 100% of whats left, but i am not totally sure. i never tried doing anything when i had money left, so im not sure.

I think you should just play it safe and keep the 100% rollover.

Fair enough, but I have never gambled when I had the option of full carryover. With the size of your USA South carryover, do you really want to sign anyone? Actually, please sign someone 

Actually, not talking about the USA South team in Tark -- I've got scholarships to fill there, so will definitely be signing 2 someones. It's my Iba team that I'm looking at...it'll be returning everyone and be at about 545 minimum to begin next season, but there's a move I'd definitely consider making if the stars aligned and the right puzzle piece was available on the board.

Great -- thank you fd343ny! I was hoping I'd at least be able to investigate the option without risking 75% of the money pool.
