I disagree. If your guys have 80+ PER and your huge underdogs, why not put it to +2 and let them jack up a few more three's than usual and try to pull the upset?
Sure, that's one potential strategy in a very particular scenario.
It also ignore a lot of other variables -- what defense the other team is playing, how good they are at guarding the 3, etc. etc.
Just as viable a strategy for an upset might be saying, "well, let's bang it inside and try to really win the ft battle".
