Got this one earlier this morning:

Hey Coach, I'm going to be honest with you - the only reason I haven't said no to your offer is because your secretary sounds pretty hot.

and from an International recruit:

Why you cut tree for this paper? Tree gods no happy.

"Tree gods no happy" is my new favorite.

I've actually got it on a couple responses from International recruits now. Hilarious that WIS makes them sound as intelligent as a caveman.

Do they make recruits from China and South Korea sound as intelligent as cavemen?

on the promises.. if you guarantee a freshman start can you have him start the game and only have him play 4 minutes? would he be ok with that?
It makes sense to me.  I've gotten him above 18 now and climbing.  I just think it's funny that he's a laughing-stock around campus because he's missing 3 minutes per game.

I think Tree Gods no happy is the best.

Just got this one and got a little chuckle....

Wow! I can't tell you how excited I am now that you've visited with my family. Unlike Allen Iverson, I can't wait until the first day of practice!

It is to show how talented your educational staff is.  Once they are added to the roster and you try to redshirt them, they will respond in perfect English.

I'm new so I'm sure there are much better, but this one made me laugh from my SF:

Coach, this may not mean a lot to you, but well, I'm pretty much a laughing stock around campus - I told everyone that they could put it the bank I'd see at least 20 minutes of action every game. You're making me look like a fool by only playing me 17 minutes per game. Why would you promise me that?

What funny emails have you guys seen in the game?
What's interesting to me about this one is that your player is complaining when you are fulfilling 85% of your promise.  Lots of coaches swear up and down that 80% is good enough to keep players from complaining, but that's obviously not true in this case.
it used to be 80%... seble changed it
As it should have been (Seble changing it, that is).  My personal opinion is, if a coach is willing to make a promise to a player, then he should be ready to uphold that promise 100% or risk the player transferring.  That could be/should be where a player's personality comes into play.  Some players might be willing to tolerate 90% of a promise without getting upset, but some should get upset the first time they miss a start.  On that note, however, I would probably make promises carry more weight during recruiting (i.e., make them a substantially more powerful recruiting tool).  Just my opinion (and probably not a very popular one, if I had to guess).  Back on topic now......
I agree with you 100% emy (so there are at least two of us).  Make promises more valuable and increase the potential problems for not meeting them - both in terms of potential transfers AND in limiting future value of recruiting promises.  Recognize that elite recruits would talk to each other (especially in the more localized recruiting world of HD) and if I break promises to a FR for a couple of seasons in a row, it will get back to HS Seniors.

Never seen this one before:

"My old man used to dig <your school>'s rival before he hit the pen. He's still pushing me to go there. I wouldn't mind playing for <your school> just so I could beat his team in the big game. But, my old man's got connections. Can you convince him it's cool?"

The funny thing about that is that a lot of the D2 and D3 schools we're coaching don't even have campuses :)

I got that once. It's hilarious. Of course, there's also the classic "SHH-BANG!!"
