....a D2 projected player with 1 year of eligibilty to fill my last scholarship so my leftover cash rolls over for next year?

sometimes. I've seen the AD overrule the signing if the kid is too far below your level.

D1 teams can not sign D3 guys but you are definitely able to sign d2 transfers.

All 3 answers are correct. Yes you can sign a D2 guy with only one year left. 2) I have had my AD ask me if I was crazy & deny the scholarship & 3) a D1 can not sign a D3.

Nope, you only get your 25% rollover if you fill all scholarships.
