Fastest/Worst Injury Ever? Topic

My All-American center strained his MCL 36 seconds into our very first regular season game.

I think thats probably by far the worst combo of time and player that got injured. To top it off he was down to 50 health and 2 days later hes only up to 60 which means hes probably going to miss 2 more games.

wow, that was fast!

The worst injury for timing goes to a center that I had. He was injured in the CT and missed the NT. The next season, he was injured again in the CT and missed another NT

I had a second-team All-American go down about five minutes into Game 3 and didn't get him back until the start of conference play. We managed to salvage the season well enough in conference play to make the NT as one of the last 4 in, but it was pretty brutal for the non-con season.

I see your 36 and raise you 33:

but was it 33 seconds into your season?

I thought you meant fastest injury in a game.

Yea I tried to make a really hard non conference schedule because my conference is not very strong and I was aiming for a high seed in the NT with a nice run. Now I might have to be happy with just making the NT.

i can't top 36 seconds but I lost my starting center to a 50% injury 6 minutes into the first game of the season.  Likewise he's only up to 60% after a couple games in the stands.  i'll probably sit him another 4 games til he hits 80%.  bummer to essentially have to play the first 7 games of the season without him and not have him to full strength until after non-con, but i've had the CT injuries where guys miss the NT too, and I guess this is a better alternative as long as you have the depth to keep your head above the water as far as making the NT goes.

So follow up, would you ever consider playing a guy with 65 health?

Last season in Tark, I lost Douglas Causey to an injury in the first exhibition game. Before it happened, I didn't realize that injuries could happen in exhibition games. He went down to 50%. Fortunately, he took a RS and acknowledged the injury in the RS email. It was an earlier injury but much better timing for me.
