This is my second year with a D2 team, and because of the AI recruiting before me my team is bad. I have some good guards but my bigs are a total mess. Highest rebounding is 61, no low post, poor athleticism. They just blow. 

I am also transitioning to a man to man defense because I hate zone with a passion. I have two young bigs that will be pretty good as well as some other players. In addition I am losing 5 seniors this coming offseason. Should I just tank this season to get my young kids IQ's and WE up? I am curious roughly how many wins/RPI would I need to keep my current C prestige without dropping down any lower.

If you are in for the long haul then tank the season, your prestige won't fall that much at a C level even with a really bad year.

If your goal is to move on ASAP, a terrible season will hurt you, but if you are sticking around you will make up for the bad year down the road with the time you gave young guys this year.

Also without looking into the team and just posting, it sounds like your team isn't that great anyway. What will tanking the season really cost you in terms of win numbers? Maybe go from 10 wins to 6?

Yea my biggest worry would be dropping back down to C-. I tried to make a tough schedule because I am sick of bad RPI's, seems to have been a bit of a mistake as I am getting murdered lol

i say tank the season, and improve the young guys.  the difference from C to C- probably isn't that much anyway.  if you have a chance in the CT, then go for it with your best players

yanks is right, especially in D2 the C to C- really won't matter when it comes to recruiting. You MAY miss out on a guy if he drops to a C school who snatches him up and you don't want to battle, but overall the difference will be small

A C- and a C are really about the same thing at D2. Just making the NT can bump you to a C+ from a C-.

I would think its hard to beat anyone in basketball with a horseshoe up your ***.

I really have a hard time doing anything with a horsehoe lodged in my ***.
