You "can" see who you're matched up with and what seed you will be on the Projection Report already.
I don't think that's true. Tark tourney starts tonight. Tennessee was the first of the last four in, so presumably they were 4th from last. Yet they got an 11 seed. The 12 in their region is Maryland, Eastern Shore, which was 2 spots lower than Tennessee on the last projection report, and was not listed among the last 4 in, so presumably they were better than 4th from last...
Maryland Eastern Shore was a conference tournament champion -- they wouldn't appear in the Last 4 in as those are strictly the last four at large teams to make it into the tournament.
This.
that makes sense - I didn't think to check to see which of those schools in the same range of the projection report won their CT - but it does suggest that seeding is not 100% tied to the projection report - UT was still lower on the projections than MES and got seeded higher

I am 100% opposed to any change that allows coaches to build up their programs over time - hiring assistants, building infrastructure, etc. - because they inherently put new users at a bigger disadvantage.  That's not good for building the game and community.

Also, they will shift things around a bit to avoid earlier conference matchups.

i absolutely hate getting matched up in the NT with a team i already played during the regular season

My pet peeve is the prestige at D2 and D3.  Almost every team in the Sweet 16 gets a boost to A+, regardless of their history.

Example from Rupp:
Catawba has won 33 NT games in the last 10 seasons, including Final Four in 5 of the last 7.   They lost in the 2nd round and dropped to an A prestige
USC Upstate made the Elite Eight and moved from B+ to A+.  Before this season, they'd won 2 NT games in 10 seasons.

2 wins vs. 33...,yet Upstate has a better prestige.

alblack - I agree that is a huge issue. I don't think you should make it to A+ prestige unless you have won a NC or have very extensive track record of deep NT runs.

I agree.  This isn't the sims.  I don't want to build a little town, I want to coach a team.

I don't know if anybody else feels like this, but I always feel I have rematches in the NT. I've had brackets where there are 3 or 4 teams that I played in NC play that are in my region. It seems it happens so often that it's hard to believe that it's a coincidence.

Considering that my first-round games in both national tournaments going right now (at least in the worlds I play) are non-con rematches...yeah, I'm feeling that way too.

Catawba dropped to A when irapost made a lateral move into Catawba.

1.  Be able to see 2 yrs. of new recruits, not just next season's.  This would add tons of recruiting and team-building strategy.

2.  I'd like to have a 5th line for depth chart added.  It would help in prioritizing backups who play multiple backup positions.

Fix prestige and recruiting so successful mid-majors aren't consistently at a disadvantage.

One thing i've thought could help new users grasp the game quicker is to have info boxes associated with key terms.  For instance, if I am on the practice page and click athleticism, a info box will appear telling me the basic function of athleticism.  Also, under the explanation would be a link to the search function in the forums showing everything that has ever been discussed on the subject.  I think most new users don't notice the search function. If they did they could avoid making some rookie mistakes and not ask a question that has previously been asked.
