Not reverting back to it...8 isn't 12...and like I said, with the way that guys ***** about minutes nowadays, it would be tough to keep a superclass together even if they were in place.
What's the difference between 8 and 9?  Or 7 and 8?  Your number is just as arbitrary as any other.

K, so why is it 6 then? I wasnt really around during the days of the superclass, but i dont get the big deal having all 12 guys from the same class...like i said before as well, with current minute ******** standards, it would be hard to keep 12 cats all pleased at the same time anyhow. Non freshmen arent really worth recruiting, and good coaches know that...guess im stuck with this ****** 518 jr pf that i didnt recruit...

Lol, it would affect everyone in the same way and technically i would only need one more spot, so that would make 7...its moot now, but certainly something to think about

Actually, virtually any good coach will tell you that JUCO's are FREQUENTLY good guys to recruit.  Not that I'd expect you to realize that...

I mean, of course you're a good coach!  17 seasons in Tark, 9 different teams, 0 NT victories...

At least in Phelan you've had the balls to be consistently mediocre at the same school for a while.

I recruit quite a few JUCO's.  I think I do reasonably well with it.  You have to do your homework, but several of my best players have been JUCO.  Quite useful in achieving some sustained success and avoiding bad down years.

Do you guys whose posts have the ******** in them have the obscenity filter on?  Or does it automatically filter quotes?

EDIT: Nevermind, I was one of those guys.  Apparently it automatically filters quotes.

I think 6 is good. 8 will make it too easy to create a powerhouse press team. 3/3/3/3 teams need to have a shot a winning the NT.

You - 62 seasons .658 win pct, 21 cc
Me - 42 seasons .683 win pct, 19 cc

I hope ur not suggesting that ur better than me, that'd be rather foolish...thanks for trolling me btw as well...much appreciated

The stats you posted are all heavily conference-dependent.  How 'bout you compare NT success?
4/27/2012 9:47 PM
you are the only one who seems to favor this colonels, so I don't think it has legs. (I m not in favor for the record). If you don't want to recruit jucos, cut the 2 scrubs, recruit 6 frosh and take 2 walkons. Its not like you'll be any worse with 6 frosh and 2 walkons over 8 frosh really...

Fair enough, thanks for your feedback.

Conference championships aren't much of a measure, because that depends greatly on who you are in conference with.  I have 22.   I don't find that all that embarrassing while sharing a conference with Pitino for 24 of those seasons, ya know.  Just sayin'.
