Would you say that Adam Coury has underperformed offensively this season?  He played at PG most of the year, recently transitioning to the 2.  My other guard has 60 passing (48 to start the season), SF has 68 (65), PF 46 (41), and C 6 (7).  I would consider that fairly decent team passing for D3, not exceptional certainly at the SG and C positions but well above average at SF and PF.  And Coury looks to me like a guy who should be scoring more effectively as a co #2 option in the offense.  Was I just expecting too much from him, or should I expect an improvement next year?

To be fair, he is shooting just over 50% on 2s.  I just expected slightly higher 2 pt% and maybe .02- .025 better from 3 with his speed and BH.

Yea I mean he's still playing pretty well but it seems as if he was more efficient last year.  Have you changed his distro (is he depended on more)?

No, his distro is way down due to the emergence of Hallum as the primary scorer.  Last year he was part of a tandem as primary scoring option, this year he's part of a tandem as secondary options.  As evidenced by his significant decrease in shots.

maybe he doesn't like taking on a reduced role. some kids don't have the psyche for that.

in seriousness, for whatever reason that I can't tell from a quick look he's not getting to the line as often .14 FTA/min this season .18 last season, which is probably insignificant. He really had quite the outlier season from the line last season though, hitting 76% to only to 70.3% this yr and 60.9% as a frosh...maybe last year was the anomaly...

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it was...  I still expected better 2pt% and 3pt%, though, which is more what I was addressing in this thread.

His 2FG improved and his 3FG decreased .7%.....I think you are looking for something to complain about.

It looks like your SOS was a little harder this year as well, is that true?

dahs, I don't think he's underperforming whatsoever. As someone else pointed out, he's shooting over 50% on 2's. And if he'd hit four more 3's over the course of the entire season, he'd be shooting 40% from 3.

#Sample size.

There's not a 'team chemistry' element in the equation, but we are dealing with mathematical formulas.

Sometimes, one set of ratings just meshes better than another group. That can lead to individual  variances from season to season as the roster changes.
