ATH:80
SPD: 75
LP: 10
PER: 30
BH: 85
PAS: 65

This is D2, triangle. His defensive cores are strong enough that I might take him either way, but I'm curious if he could give me anything on the offensive end.

Sure, but he won't be your primary scorer.  Put him at PG, use (-2), and his ath/spd/bh will be good enough to draw fouls.  He probably isn't a 15 ppg guy, but I'll bet he can go 8-10 as a junior/senior (assuming his FT is B or better).  He could be especially dangerous coming off the bench and playing against guys with much lower ath/def.

I agree with most of what isack said, but I would use -1 instead of -2. At -2 his lp will be more of a factor I think. Rather avoid that...

Works for me. Thanks guys.

I set this guy at -2 and he is a solid scorer for me at D2

I would not want this guy ever taking a 3 point shot with only 30 per. With his low LP most of his shots at -2 would probably be midrange shot not post ups so the LP would still be less of a factor. Guards dont need as much LP as a big man to be effective inside the 3 point line.

That guy is a -2 for me too. No way I want him shooting a 3.

Just eyeballing, what # LP does a guard (or small forward) need to be an effective scorer at DII.  30? 40?

Let's assume 70 ATH.

I would say it depends on how good they're perimeter is. The higher the perimeter the more jumpers they're going to take so the less you need LP. For a low perimeter player I would shoot for high 20s and up. 70 ath is pretty high for a D2 guard so they can get away with less. For a player that wasn't as athletic or slower I would try for 30s and up.
