I do honestly appreciate the responses. I get I'd get waxed against a power house but my conference teams aren't great. Read the post in entirely. The 3 losses at home to losing to 2 lower teams on the road. The thing that's ticks me off the most is whatifs careless responses and they think people are goin to stick with this game? Obviously the similar thought I was good enough to be ranked for 10 weeks to only bend me over in conference. I could handle 12-9 in a tough conference but to many losses I couldn't disagree with more. I have read a ton of forums and I get I lack some in athleticism, but compare it to my competition and not last yrs national champ.
i dont think anyone is comparing to the national champs, if they did, they'd be saying, you should lose by 20, every game. don't take that the wrong way. look at your big men, in this game, they are unplayable with that athleticism. washington is passable but thats it. even bohan really never can exceed mediocre, and that is a sentiment 80+ % of coaches would agree with. im not trying to be mean, just trying to tell you like it is (i meant to post under coach_billyg again, so this was just a follow up to tell you a bit about your team, instead of just the inspecific stuff earlier). guards can be good, even great, without good ath, but bigs are totally centered around their athleticism, it affects EVERYTHING they do. without it, you cant be a good defender, scorer, or rebounder. however, it alone won't make you good at any of those things. especially in d3, you really need to learn which ratings are most important, focus on them, and largely ignore the others - people call them them the core ratings - ath is vital for bigs, and reb (need both minimally), and then maybe defense. if all you have is good ath, reb, and def, in a big, you are going to be better off than most bigs out there. guards, focus on ath/spd/def/bh/pass, and per for scorers. nothing else really matters until you get to the next level of the game, although, you have to have passable stamina or your players will be sagging early in the game, and suck the rest of the game. especially playing man to man defense, ath/def are going to be the keys to a great team. you have a couple solid guards for d3 but no stars. in a really tough conference, that team wouldn't be 12-9, you'd have to be a damn good coach to win 4 games in all of conference play and could go 0-16. thats just the reality, its a good thing, means there is a lot more to this game than a 1.5 season old coach might know. it doesn't all follow real life either, so you can't expect that - in real life, you can have a player like Josh Harrelson from kentucky, graduated last year, not athletic, but works his *** off and can be a HUGE player. but not in HD. but it does speak to the depth of the sim engine that you can have such a disparity in teams coached by humans, and surely, HD does.
