I can't understand what int'l recruits are saying Topic

Lol, sorry man, I thought about it when I was typing it and I was like...I think it might be a K lol...but ran with the C instead...guess it's been a while since I've gotten a scathing sitemail from you ;)

Even crazier -- put no more effort into the guy since last time, then 4 cycles later get this scholarship email: "Coach, you my best school I play basket. I need wait for sign so I say yes. Hope sign come soon." this sounds very good, right? Is this one of those odd cases of my considering credit pushing me over the edge to deserve a new, higher level of interest from him? Seems odd?

And, no problem, emy. I figured as much :)

jeff, I'd send this example to seble. They need to clean this up.

Agreed -- turns out "Coach, you my best school I play basket. I need wait for sign so I say yes. Hope sign come soon" is a BAD message.  The next one I got was "Too late..."

What a load of crap.

I hate the ambiguity of international emails.  But when in doubt, spend more I guess.

Lol, this was one of the better threads I've ever read. haha

Perhaps they should just list the schools in order of consideration of the "considered by" area... like

Mount Olive, Armstrong Atlantic State, HI-Hilo

Mount Olive being in 1st, AASU in 2nd...HI-Hilo 3rd in the running

You obviously haven't read the Random Thread, originally created by fredpaull.

Seriously? That is TERRIBLE. Terrible. Anyone who reads that response would think that they're in the lead.

This needs to be fixed.

im not convinced it is. jeff, do you know that the other school didn't spend more, since the first message? you CAN go from leading to the player signing with another school.

i dont see a problem with this one either. considering credit is somewhat significant, it can easily push you up a category.

i agree that the original message DEFINITELY means you are leading, albeit not by too too much.

Agreed, although I feel like we have been seeing more of the glitchy types problems lately.

also just to add, any coach who blindly follows the advice of any one man - doesn't matter who it is, OR, seble, or anyone else - is a fool. plain and simple. if you are a total rookie and are asking questions you expect a hundred people to know for sure, maybe thats different. this question, however, is definitely one where people could disagree. your best bet is always to weigh multiple outside opinions against your own experience.

how many cycles after signings did he end up signing?  if he was "late", then perhaps a fair amount of effort made you go from you being in the lead, perhaps slightly, to the kid signing in the same cycle as the effort was put forth.  But this assumes the other coach put forth more effort.  If he didn't, then, yeah, it seems like a problem.
