The people who want to believe LeBron was jerk about the situation are those who believed he owed the Cavs something, and the fact is he owed them absolutely nothing. LeBron was going to be LeBron no matter what team drafted him, if anybody owed anybody anything then it was Dan Gilbert who owed LeBron. LeBron singlehandily made the Cavs relevant again, carried them to the Finals, carried them to #1 seed in the East twice, despite not playing with anybody who would be confused with an all-star at the time they were on the Cavs.

I agree that the players he played with on the Cavs were terrible, but I always liked how ESPN hyped up whoever the Cavs signed (ex: Antawn Jamison, Shaq) the Cavs were suddenly invincible and the team to beat

I think that going to Miami was a move for fun.  Jordan would not have done it.  I still think Lebron should have gone to Chicago to win titles with Rose & their cast.  Lebron would have been the big dog.  In Miami, D Wade is still the top guy when it comes to being the leader.  Maybe not on the court stats, but vocally.

But D. Wade is breaking down....he has 1 more run in him, and then the window is closed.  OKC just choked...or westbrook did more specifically.

Not all of us can have god-like powers of perception and comic book mind reading capabilities.  If only we were all as good as you...

You didn't think it was clear that Cleveland wasn't his #1 choice?
No, I think he didn't know what he was going to do.  I think at the time they booked The Decision, he thought he was heading back to Cleveland.  All of us "friends" and advisers were there telling him to stay there.  To think you "know" what he was going to do is ridiculous to me unless...what am I thinking right now?

So you were an emotionally invested Cavs fan...it all makes sense now...

I didn't know where he was going, the only thing that I felt that I knew for certain was that he wasn't going back to Cleveland...I think a lot of intelligent, savvy sports fans would agree with me

I am a Bucks fan (almost worse) with no ties to Cleveland or Lebron.  I just don't claim to be omniscient.

Of course it's easy to rationalize an baseless opinion in retrospect when you happen to guess correctly.  It doesn't make the opinion any less baseless.

What Lebron did might have been good intentions with a bad result, but it was good intentions, that were carried out badly, some his fault some maybe not.

If you grew up in the Ohio area, drafted by the Cavs, played there for a while, Dan Gilbert and the staff should have found out about the decision in a meeting, face to face. Not on the phone. Thats just classless, in my opinion.
And the party after the signing in Miami.. I don't think that was handled well.

And I agree, I dont think there was hardly a chance he was going back to Cleveland.

Dude....Cleveland v. LA (Clips), Miami, New York, New Jersey, Chicago...after a disappointing loss to Boston in the East Semis or conference finals where the person in question had 9 or 10 TOs and took his jersey off walking to the lockerroom...hmmmmmmmmmm...................

It's got to be frustrating to get a trip-dub and lose by 9...again the 9 turnovers...

LeBron is literally the only guy who can drop 27,19, and 10 in an elimination game and people say he quit on his team.
