So I don't know anything about the other sim games in WIS, but does anyone think it would be kind of cool to have the players that leave from our seasons be available in a draft in a sim NBA league?

There are details to work out of course, less NBA teams than college teams, more games in NBA season ratings at D1 seems like everyone is near max in most ratings for the best teams, but it would be interesting to see our players move forward in NBA careers and see other users draft them.

My thoughts are, a blind man golfs just as well at night as in the daytime...... oh you mean my thoughts on the draft in a sim NBA league.... it would be pretty interesting and it has been discussed, but the reason I don't know if WIS will take it would be that it would not be that many teams available for an NBA league in such a few worlds.  It would be hard to offer such a small line of products with a lot of work involved in creating it.  I don't see how they could make enough money to make it profitable to do.  

What would be better would be to see a sim run league where they simmed and you could see how they did, but not require a full human run element

I put this idea together some time ago.  Not completely comprehensive but a decent start.  Still I think there would need to be more HD users before they'd do this.

I understand the interest in seeing HD players move on to NBA careers but I think the only way WIS could successfully market an NBA type game would to make it a Dynasty game on its own merit. It could be created to have 60 team worlds if they included former NBA teams such as the Baltimore Bullets, Rochester Royals, Syracuse Nationals and Tri-Cities Blackhawks plus former ABA teams such as the Dallas Chaparrals, New Jersey Americans, and Denver Rockets. I know that a lot of those teams are part of the history of current franchises eg. Tri-Cities Blackhawks > Milwaukee Hawks > St. Louis Hawks > Atlanta Hawks but hopefully no one will get too hung up on that.

The 60 teams could be broken down into 10 divisions of 6 teams each and further broken down into East and West conferences each containing 5 divisions. Each team could play a 78 game regular season which at 3 games per day would last 23 days. The regular season schedule would break down to 48 games vs teams outside your division (2 games vs each team) and 30 games vs teams within your division. (6 games against each team). The 5 division champs plus 3 wild card teams in each conference would make the playoffs. The playoffs could breakdown as follows: Round 1 - 3 games, Round 2 - 5 games, Round 3 - 7 games. The 2 conference champions would then play a 7 game series to determine the overall NBA champion.

The entire process of a season from new coach signups, lateral coaching moves, the draft, free agent signing and the regular season and post season would last approximately 45 days which is the length of the one a day worlds right now. There would be no Sim AI coached teams. The NBA worlds would work just like HBD and GD where the next season doesn't start until all teams are filled with human coaches. I haven't worked out the draft but I would expect it to have a player list similar to HD but with both HS and college players. There should be a process for lottery picks and free agent signings. Trading is a must including the trading of draft picks.

Some of my ideas could certainly be modified but I really think a stand alone game is the only way to add an NBA type game.
