Sarcasm? He simply jumped around to the best team available.

but he didn't jump every season. He's only coached in 8 of the last 28 seasons.

He coached season #30, then quit
He came back in season #46 and won the DIII title with Peidmont, with the previous coach's recruits. He stayed at Piedmont 3 seasons, then went to DII Wheeling.

He coached season #49 at Wheeling, then left. He came back for season #52 Tiffin, then left.  He returned for season #56 at Lenoir, then dropped back to DIII for season #57.

I've never seen someone do that so successfully, though.  Six teams in eight seasons - but 5 CT wins, one NT title, one PIT title, and a couple of Elite Eights.

So he selectively jumped.

Apparently. That's even weirder.

Yeah, I liked the start, stop & up a division, down a division approach to it all.  If the skipping is intentional, that actually takes some real discipline.  (Not that I'm lauding the "achievement".)

Oh so looking forward to getting beat by his team in the NT, assuming I even make that far.

That's the first thing I thought too when I opened up the Resume link

FWIW, it's a great winning %, but you will find guys with better depending on when you look.

For example, tianyi's D3 Wooden career consisted of 10 or 11 seasons with a record of 286-36 (88.8%).  Sure, he took over a good team, but that's ridiculous.

He has dropped a little now since moving up, but not much.

Your win % will largely depend on your conf strength. In an all sim conf, you can be a middle of the road NT team and go 16-0 in conf, and if you schedule well, you are looking at 28+ wins per season, with 1-3 losses.
