Too few assists in D1 and D2? Topic

Looking at the stats it seems as if the assist leaders are way to low as a whole. D3 looks ok but still lower than normal. It's always been like this, though.

That just kills this former PG.
They may be window dressing but I still love seeing my PG's finish with 8 or 9 assists in a game.

I am trying to figure out the window dressing part. I assume it means because of distr. someone Has to pass the ball to a scorer so not really important who.
But would not BH and Pass figure into this or simply means fewer TO's?

According to seble, assists are determined by team ratings, not individual ratings.  Once an assist is given, then they pick the guy on the floor who gets the assist.

assists used to be EVEN lower - got better maybe a year ago - and yes should be higher, esp for  those of us whose main contributions on the court have always been passing and defense, make the other guys look good on offense by getting them the ball where they can do something with it
