This question is a product of slight paranoia because I've never tried to RS a sophmore and now that the rules have changed I don't want to take any chances. So, if I apply a RS to a sophmore and he has a negative reaction that coincides with a large reduction in WE will the WE return to normal once it is withdrawn?

I know this question might appear silly, but a good dose of paranoia can be helpful from time to time, haha.
Yes it will... it's just that if you take it off/try to re-apply you will get the same reaction from him (same WE drop)
the WE drop will likely not be the same on reapplications...the result will be consistent though...

You sure about that? I had a player that I Rs'd, he dropped 6 WE, I took off and it went back, then re-RS'd and he dropped 6...

Positive. Looks like you got lucky.

From personal experience and confirmed via ticket.

"Modified the logic for how a player will react to a redshirt. It will be based on the player's class, his recruiting position rank, and how he ranks on his team (so if he's one of the worst on the roster he's more likely to accept it). Also, his reaction to it will always be the same as it was the first try for a given season. So there won't be any benefit to removing and applying it multiple times." (6/26 update)

Willie Polk wasn't thrilled with being redshirted, but he wasn't devastated either. His Work Ethic fell from 63 to 57.

Now, if I understand this update correctly, I can remove the redshirt now and have 2 exhibition games and practices from him where he'll get some playing at practice time at a 63 Work Ethic, and then put the redshirt back on before the OOC schedule begins. The WE will then just fall back to 57.

Is that right?

No, his work ethic may drop even further the second time. The only thing that sticks is the actual high-level response (i.e. accept or reject).

trying to find where I saw it, but I am pretty sure seble responded to that exact question somewhere and said that while the result (rejection) would be the same every time, the WE hit could be worse after multiple attempts.

ETA: If that ticket was posted somewhere before, that's probably where I saw it...lol
