Extremely Annoyed At Scheduling Exhibitions Topic

The reason I'm annoyed is every season I can only schedule one exhibition game for my teams each season. I challenge the AI, they accept, and anyone else I challenge "can't find a date that will work for both of us".

So I have to keep challenging teams to try to find someone, and after about five or so I just give up and only get one exhibition game.

Why isn't there a way to schedule WHICH of the two dates I want, and to search for teams available for each of those dates instead of challenging a billion schools until I might get lucky and find one whose schedule will let them play me?

GRRRR.

Can't you just schedule your human exhibition game first and wait to challenge Simmy until after the human opponent has accepted?

Or don't schedule a sim at all and schedule 2 humans.  Maybe the humans are rejecting your request.

Some coaches challenge 5  or 6 teams simutaneously.  Chances are they'll work out; otherwise challenge some more

Or schedule a 2nd sim instead of having no game at all

cant find a date may just mean that they rejected your request

things you should know

1. you can schedule two games against SIMs - easily

2.  you can send out more than one request to play at a time - send several, some folks will say yes

What everyone said.  There's never any reason to play less than 2 exhibition games.

First, to those who suggest scheduling a second game, that's my point.  I'm TRYING to schedule a second game and absolutely ZERO Sim coaches have accepted and have a date that will work with my open date.

Second, I don't try to schedule human exhibitions. Takes too long for them to respond in many cases.

mamxet, I CAN'T schedule two sim opponents "easily" - in fact, I haven't been able to do it yet with either of my current teams despite many attempts at it.

I'm aware I can send more than one request at a time and have done it probably twenty times this time in an effort to schedule another game, and EVERY TIME the Sim rejects it and says they can't find a date that will work with mine.

Not to sound bitter or ungrateful, but so far you guys have all said things which I already knew and nothing which has helped.

I want to know why I can't find a second opponent which will work with my schedule and why there isn't an option to search for teams who have that date open.

All I want is a solution to the problem - HOW can I get a second game?
8/20/2012 1:43 PM
You can just open up the sim team and look at their schedule.  If they're slotted for a 2nd exhibition game and you only have the 2nd slot open, they'll reject it.  If they're open for the 2nd game, they'll accept it.  That's your easiest solution given the current setup.

Okay, that is somewhat helpful.

But every team is only open for the same slot, so when I schedule one, I can't get a second one.

That's really strange.  All the teams listed for that slot should be available for that slot.  All the sims should immediately accept.

I just looked at one conference in Knight DIII - the WIAC.  Nine sim teams in that conference had no exhibition game scheduled at all and should have been available.  I did not check beyond that conference

I think you must be missing something in the scheduling process.  This should not be an issue

I accept every exhibition challenge, in the order that i receive them.  On the 3rd day of recruiting, if I still have openings, I'll challenge 5 or 6 teams. I'll add 3 more every three hours until one is accepted.
On the last day, I challenge a Sim, who accepts immediately
