A little help from my friends... Topic

Looking for a little input. I think this team has an opportunity to get to the NT and make a little noise next season, but we may be one piece away. I have one Sr. graduating (Koehn) and i'm trying to decide what sort of player is needed to fill in the gaps. Currently leaning towards an all-around SF or a good def/reb oriented big. However, my guards do seem kind of weak in defense, maybe an upgrade there is in order. There is still good upside with alot of the team in per/lp so i'm not too worried about scoring. Leon Norman still has average upside in speed so I think he can easily slide into the SF position if needed. Just looking for feedback on what you guys think would best compliment the current group.

Grab a PF/C for sure. Otherwise, you will start a FR at either 4 or 5 after your SRs graduate next year.

I didn't even take that into account. Your right though, I would be left starting at least one freshman big and giving a ton of minutes to backup freshman there as well. It's settled then i'll set my sights on a PF/C. Thanks for the help!

Athletic/Rebounding JuCo big man.

This would be ideal, but quality JuCo and Transfer players seem to attract a lot of battles and i'm not sure i would be able to afford one with only one scholarship open. My conference is pretty good, but doesn't provide quite enough extra cash to battle. I'll definitely keep this in mind if I can get one with no hassle.

i agree w/ the big man, you never can have 2 classes in a row without a big or without a guard. bonus point for the title!

Thanks, glad you like it. It was a toss-up with, "Fixing a hole", and "Help!" thrown in as well.

Also agree with recruiting a big, but I think a freshman would be just fine.  No need to battle over a JuCo or transfer, especially if you find a decent big man with a lot of high potentials.

i would actually not sign the juco, unless u find an amazing one and just cant say no (and even then, good luck winning him, you'll probably need it). if you do, you are forced to do it again later, because you just cant have 2 classes in a row without a big.

how did you post your team so succinctly? i want to post a question about one of my teams, but i havent a damn clue how to make it not really ******.

edit: never mind. i cant believe its just copy-paste. i didnt realize the forum update actually did anything useful =)

i would have went with fixing a hole, given that help and with a little help from my friends apply to basically any thread (well, not any, but so many!). fixing a hole was more niche :) it fits so good :)
