thanks...i like your 3rd rounder as well....from the beginning of the draft i was targeting big ben(02-03;01-02) and jkidd(09-10;08-09) to help with the salary cap....cant believe i almost didnt get any of those 4...had a tough time deciding which team was gonna get kidd haha

In this draft I was looking to draft first round quality picks (in the other draft leagues) in rounds 1 through 3 that could still fit on a $50 million roster. Hopefully it will work out okay. I figured that there were 4 Dwight Howards, a couple of Jordans and a couple of rebounding demons that would available to me to draft in rounds 1 through 3 if I played it right. I think that I got lucky to get both a Dwight Howard season at the bottom of round 2 and a Ben Wallace season at the top of round 3.

I wouldn't be surprised if you get very close to 1st round quality in round 4 the way things are going....

Well I thought that I had done a good job so far with the salary cap. But there are some issues regarding the bench strength if I am not careful.

Thanks.  10-11 Kidd was kind of a gamble given that he is such a poor shooter, but I am hoping he is good enough elsewhere and that his usage as a % of the team overall should make him a net positive and his $/min was a good buy low since I spent ~27 mil on the top 3.  I am hoping for some luck on how I want to round out the rest of the team.

The usual suspects (sly, dh, scud, eleibo,vance, 98, et al) seem to be rising to the top.  Jt's teams look interesting as well.

Thanks robusk. I have to be careful for the next two rounds; searching through cheap, flawed yet effective role players to round out my squads.

Couldn't help myself getting Ibaka to go with Wallace on my Lebron team though, those defensive juggernauts would be really cool playing together. Had targeted one of the Magic Johnson seasons to drop (Magic and Lebron backcourt? They'd rule) into the 4th. Probably got lucky someone saved me from doing that, didn't like the TOs they'd have.
Those 28 minutes of Bill Walton paired with Rodman and Shaq should help with a rebounding advantage. Unfortunately the other 20 minutes at PF will likely be a filler.

I like your team in some ways scud.The assists are awesome. The EFG% is first rate so far. I don't like Malone's weak rebounding or Stockton's weak rebounding.  I also don't like the chances of finding a great rebounding big man with excellent defense etc. by the time that you get to pick in round 4. All of the teams are going to be filled with studs so its hard to say if that team is a division winner or just a contender to make the playoffs. But my gut tells me that your squad will make the playoffs and do some damage. You know what you are doing and I know that you won't get caught up in a salary crunch or make any drafting mistakes. But you know me too and if all I said was how great your team was and how much of a favorite it is that wouldn't be the real me lol. Looking forward to DH fouling out everytime my team plays yours.

well, vance... i'd probably pay attention to what you say, but only when you talk about players i actually have on my squad... no stockton... haha... and i have one of mailman's top rebounding seasons... perhaps you're looking at ben's team or something... anyway, thanks for the candidness. 

also, there's lots of board beasts left... not sure i agree with you on the rebounding/defense angle

Sorry scud. My brains been off lately. Went in for my annual appointment yesterday and I've gained weight and my blood pressure is up etc. Gotta cut back on the red wine, go on a diet and start exercising.

Your team is a strong contender. I love Kidd to run with Lebron and the Mailman.

I got to greedy with my first pick so I am going for depth with the rest of my roster XD
