Hey, there has been a slight mistake. I picked 85 Bird in the second round, not 86 Bird. It clearly says 85 Bird in my selection. So, sorry milest, but you will have to pick again. I realize it says 86 Bird in the master list so no fault of your own, but 85 has already been taken. I will site mail him.

Interesting.....you wrote "85 Larry Bird" when you drafted him. When I read that, I thought you meant 85-86......so......interesting mixup.

I'm not the commish but this is how I see it. benhoidal you either need to stick with 85-86 Bird or you need to repick.

Note that: 1) On 5/5 @ 4:41 (page 12 of the thread) pm you picked 85 Bird with no clarification, 2) bds9992 updated the list at after 6 pm with Bird listed as 85-86, 3) On 5/9 @ 9:23 The main page 1 was updated with 85-86 Bird, 4) You had 4 days to check the lists and to make the clarification. By not doing that we all thought that it was the 85-86 Bird or why hadn't you corrected it sooner? The mistake is yours and not milest's.

Sorry, I clearly should have specified with both years and said 84-85. However, NBA seasons are always classified by the last year. If you google 85 NBA season the first entry is 84-85 NBA season just as 85 NBA champions yields the Lakers, not the Celtics. 

I definitely should have posted 84-85 instead of just 85 and will definitely do that in the future. But, it was the 84-85 Bird that I drafted, not the 85-86 Bird.

In your mind it was the 84-85 Bird that you drafted. It doesn't matter what comes up when you Google 85 Bird. That is not relevant.

You should probably clarify what you meant with your Walton pick too.

Yes sorry, 77-78 Walton. I will include both years from now on.

The Walton pick was a done deal because there is no 78-79 season for him so 77-78 is the only option for 78.

However, I agree that moving forward both seasons for each player should always be listed for every pick.

Do we need the commish to rule on this before the draft proceeds?

I would tend to think that the commish needs to make a ruling. That's just my 2 cents worth. So I site mailed jkaye24 and let him know that we needed a ruling.

I've actually usually assumed the opposite in this sim. Clearly, it needs clarification.

Well, the 2015 playoffs only take place in the year 2015. The 2015 season could be 2014-15 or 2015-16.

I agree with kman - given the example above the 2015 play-offs cap the 14-15 season so that's what I think of when I see 2015 season, 2015 champs etc are from the 14-15 season
