technically, we all have until our time slot to draft. no one should be penalized for picking when they're allowed to pick. that's why we have time slots - there's a schedule so the draft isn't delayed, but it also gives you that much time to think. plan accordingly

NC got one of the two players he wanted. Bum deal that his second one was taken. That doesn't mean he gets to also replace his valid pick. The two players are independent of each other. They are not connected. Have any of you ever participated in a draft where a posted pick is NOT considered final? A posted pick is a posted pick. Pretty black and white. But whatever. Let's wrap this thing up and make a move.

Also, roadhouse, if you'd have taken one minute to use your brain and see that one of his proxies was drafted immediately prior to you posting, you could have asked all of us what the proper procedure would be in that situation. Instead you blind copy/pasted, then made your (terrible) picks.

NC didn't post the pick. What don't you understand about that? His time slot was never up, therefore when the invalid pick was recognized, the draft should have stopped until he made his picks or until his time slot was up. Period. Every pick made between roadhouse's mistake and NC'S pick was out of turn. How is this not obvious?

In round 2, I posted a proxy list of 1 with 2 picks to be made before my selection. I was very busy and trying not to hold up the draft if my guy was still there.. Since I was busy, howerever, I had no plan b. But I also had many hours before my slot was up.. My my proxy included a note saying 'if D Jordan is picked, I'll have to think about it. Sorry'... That's how it works. In round 6 we make 2 selections. NC never made 2 valid selections and his invalid proxy pick should NOT be considered a mistake by him allowing the draft to proceed. The draft should have never proceeded until he made his picks or until his time slot was up... This is so obvious that it is painful for me to think that others don't get it.

anyway, i kinda think we're beyond what is right or wrong, or who's to blame or what's obvious. when it's a big pile of camel crap laying in the road one has to step around it and move on. proxy-gate is an infested dung heap. 

of course there was right and wrong here, but on dec. 11th @ 4:18 pm the draft was underway... 14 days later... it's... well, pass the egg-nog and amaretto. merry christmas!

miles- I understand where you and others are coming from, but a posted pick is a posted pick. It doesn't matter who posted it. NC made the pick by proxy. That's what proxies are. It is your pick posted by someone else.

If this happens in the ODL (which it wouldn't because it's a league full of draft vets that won't let me win a title) I'd have shut this conversation down days ago and made NC replace the one invalid pick.
