The trade with omega was bad, but in the end, it is acceptable, as at least omega's gaining more ground later. The other trade is horrendous: Uptown traded down 23 spots in the earliest part of the draft to move up 23 spots in the much later, much weaker part of the draft. What advantage is uptown gaining? He gained no ground. None. He's just drastically hurting his own value. At least make it a 1-5 for a 2-3, or keep the 1-4 for 2-3 but swap 5s so he at least gains a little value. It's not like cjok is some scrub, either - he won this league 2 seasons ago. No, this deal can't go through. Trades have been vetoed in these leagues before, and if there isn't at least something done to even this out a bit, you're all dumb for letting it happen.

The good thing about these trades is nobody is ever good enough to make them work

Really only 1 guy I really want at 17. If you want the pick, site mail me with an offer. Although if my guy is there, I will be taking him. Off to work, will be back on around 3 if not intermittenly before that.

This was posted a lil after 8AM. We were on pick 16. Just 1 spot ahead of him... So he's telling us he's going to hold the draft up until 3pm instead of just sending a proxy- seeing as he intended to pick if his target was there anyway. I find this disrespectful to the other 23 owners. I understand trying to trade, but I don't understand holding the draft up from 8:27 (when the 16th selection was made) until 3pm. Hopefully he will pop back one during a break or something and not hold us up until 3pm. He said there was 1 guy he wanted and there was only going to be 1 guy selected before him... Maybe the guy he wanted got taken at 16, buy maybe not. He should have sent a proxy with that 1 player on it, saying if that guy was drafted he'd try to work out a trade, and if not- he'd pick on his lunch break... That would have been the respectable thing to do.

That's exactly what I did. I sent out a proxy with one guy on it and he was taken. Hadn't made up my mind on anyone else and had to get going. Anyways...

john Stockton.
