I haven't notified the next in line because I want to make sure that pick is approved by the commish.
Looks like the Commish did indeed miss this one.  I believe once in the past, we ruled the player ineligible for that season and he went into the next Draft, as there is know way of assuring someone Drafting prior to you would not have taken him.  However, that final decision will be up to him.

In an attempt to keep things moving, creigel has asked me to post that he appologizes for his oversite, and that he agrees with my proposed "solution".  cullen2k1 asked to select someone else.

As an impartial observer I agree with cullen. It's not his fault he was missed and nobody checked. He shouldn't be penalized because he was more thorough than anyone else. And it's not like he's getting MIchael Jordan.

I would have taken Alexander if I knew he existed.   As I prepare to make my selection, I go through the list of available players (players listed not already drafted) and make my selection from those players.  I don't have time to check every player to see if they are listed or not.  That's why I'm not the commish.

Could cullen have pointed out earlier that Alexander wasn't listed?  Very likely.

Guys, relax.  Cullen - my bad...I actually had him on my list and somehow I missed him when I manually typed the list into the forum.  Unfortunately it wouldn't be fair for anyone to have him this year.  ff09's reasoning is exactly why Volkov shouldn't be picked.  It's my job to ensure all players are listed - nobody else.  I don't doubt for a second Cullen was doing the right thing and even asked for approval prior to site mailing the next person drafting.  Nobody wants to see you quit the league.

not that this will fix this current situation, but in the league I run, I try to always post that any player not listed is not available to be drafted, even if I miss in listing him, and someone's hard work finds him-I've seen these types of situation before

cullen is indeed out - he informed me via site mail - keep the draft moving  all3 will pick a player for his team and get a replacement owner - please continue drafting
