I'd also submit that returning owners from the old league have a slight edge in the lottery like we did on the last restart.

I am for this as long as I get to have an edge on you ash since I was in UPL 1.0 for several seasons.  If not, keep it even for all teams.  I am sick of past owners thinking they deserve an edge in all returning leagues.

I kinda get it in ODL and Gym Rat, but in a reboot like this it is completely unfair and makes NO sense.

That's fine and dandy.  It just sucks that twice I've built (or rebuilt) a team and was just reaching contention when the league crashed through no fault of my own.  If everyone wants a clean slate, that's cool.  It was just a suggestion.

Right now, we have 23 owners with one more possible.

In the same boat.  I spent 5 seasons working up to the convergence of the best seasons of my key players and was ready to make a good run.  But I think a clean reboot gives this the best chance of filling and sustaining.

I know it sucks, but this is the second league I have been in where people think that they deserve an advantage.  Look if a league folded in the past it isn't the fault of the new people coming in.  I know you spent time on building the league, and I was a part of more than one league that died, but penalties on the new players isn't the answer.  Plus it sin't fun.  Part of the fun is building the team and getting it to the point that it becomes a monster.
