tarheel1991 - Dwyane Wade, Tim Duncan, Marcus Camby, Mookie Blaylock

I'm a huge fan of Wade's 09 season.  It's a super solid to build around.  Even after all the changes, I still don't like Duncan in the sim too much.  He does have a couple of good seasons, though, as long as you pair him with someone like... Marcus Camby.  Very nice pickup.  Mookie kind of confused me, as D-Wade is 100% at PG and can totally be the PG for a championship sim squad, but then again, Mookie gives you a lot of good.  It appears as though you're giving defense a lot of thought... and D-Wade + Mookie will result in a lot of forced turnovers.  Gotta love that.  Mookie (assuming you're using the Mookie I'm thinking of) gives you a lot of threes.  Assuming you don't do something silly with your small forward, I like it.

Yeah - Dwade is my PG, Mookie is the SG, but he'll be the backup PG. I like to be around 60-70% ast in the lineup, and the two of them combined are less than 50% ast so it's not like I'm wasting money on too many assists. Even without considering his defense, there are very few players in the SIM (and none who were still available in the 4th round) who bring the combo of threes, rebounding, assists, and efficiency that Mookie does. And I needed plenty of threes with a relatively low-three guard (Dwade) already in the fold.

Another thing Mookie gives me is the ability to switch to Dwade's lower-assist, lower-usage, higher-rebound, better-efficiency 10-11 season if I need to, which is quite possible given that I don't expect the guys I've targeted to fall to me. Mookie can help make up for the drop in assists and usage if I have to go that route.

Not enamored with my team- curiously enough, this went south with the Unseld pick, as I have never had good results with him in the sim.  Oh well, we see what good defense rebounding maniacs can do.

still not liking the Baylor pick - highest usage by alot and lowest efg on your squad and he takes away some of the beauty of Rodman by turning him into a defacto PF when you could have played him at SF and really cemented your boards advantage

Had to get a high energy scorer, and a whole but of people I can't name right now were all worse than him- in efg alone I might add- so although I took him with some reluctance, he fit about as well as anybody.

Like having a 90 defender in both the frontcourt and backcourt, that might prove useful.

The thing I dislike most about my team is that it has more fouls and turnovers than I would like, although that might just be are flection of high minutes played.

yeah - honestly I think where you really went south is the Unseld pick (you kinda said that above). You already had Rodman and didn't need another low-usage board lord. Having Rodman means you could have taken a couple of efficient, mid-level usage big men without great rebounding numbers. But when you took Unseld you basically backed yourself into a usage corner where you had to take a chucker like Baylor (or at least you felt like you did). Just my two cents.

I dont mind the unseld pick he could have overcome that issue nicely with an average rebounding higher volume higher efficiency big - he's only getting 28 creb from Baylor, surely there are still a handful of 30+ creb PF/Cs who have mid 20s usage and shoot better than 50% - hell a few of them might even play D - I have one in mind who would have started off the day right

I agree felonious that I'm a little short on rebounding, but I think I might take one of Nance's partial seasons I like and use him as a sub. There's several pf/c combo guys I like to help out with the rebounding. I think it's important in 47M to have a couple guys off the bench as big contributors. Also I needed a 20+ usg guy to share the scoring load with Kobe. Nance and Mutombo are fairly low usg guys. Plus I have 400 3's with kobe and Stoj alone.

Pat Healy: My real passion is my hobby.
Mary: Really, what's that?
Pat Healy: I work with retards.
Mary: Isn't that a little, uhm, politically incorrect?
Pat Healy: Well, heh, to hell with that... no one's going to tell me who I can and can't work with, right?
Mary: No, I mean...
Pat Healy: We got this one kid, Mongo... He's got a forehead like a drive-in movie theatre, but he's a good ship. So we don't bust his chops too much. So, one day Mongo gets out of his cage...
Mary: They keep him in a cage?
Pat Healy: Well, it's just an enclosure...
Mary: No, but they keep him confined?
Pat Healy: Right, yeah.
Mary: That's bullshit!
Pat Healy: Well, that's what I said! So, I went out and I got him, uh, I got him a leash.
Mary: A leash?
Pat Healy: Yeah, one of those ones you can hook on the clothesline, and he can run back and forth and, uh, there's plenty of room for him to dig and play. That kid is really, uh, he's really blossomed.
