"I'm not sure. We will see players taken early in the sg rd that were undrafted in the last league. Overall I like the 100% eligible rule better."

Disagree.

another way to look at the question of the 'weak SG' round is that it's relatively more advantageous to pick high in a weak round where you still stand a chance of getting value and the people after you will get drek than a strong round like the SF one we're in now where everyone is more likely to get a value pick
I would agree with that if it weren't coupled with a top pick in the 6th round and bottom picks in the 3 prior rounds.

But that's not what's supposed to be, the re-do of the draft was to make the playing field level and it didn't.  Not luck or unluck, anyway just seeing if we can take off the cap for mins in the 6th round.  That's what I'm asking for....

that's one of the nice things about the by position nature of this draft though is that it really doesnt matter how many rounds in a row you get screwed in so much as it matters what positions you're getting screwed in and that's determined randomly

in any event Im looking at a listing of players with more than 2600 minutes in a season and of those still available and not eligible to be taken in this or the next round I dont see much outside of a few high volume low efficiency monsters ( a couple old school PGs maybe) but not a ton of game changers in that bracket anyway

Well what's the problem then :)

meanwhile there's still a ton of sub 2600 minutes guys I'd rather have - so since you pick before me I vote to let you not take them and take the 2600+ guys instead

lots of good points made.

1. i COMPLETELY agree with felonius on the last point. i do not like the 100% eligibilty rule. it definately dilutes talent from one pool into another and shafts the lower picking owners in every round, regardless of position order. i think 100% eligible rules would apply to a different kind of league.

2. i do not agree that the sg round is a weak round.

3. the draft ordering needs to be revisited. this was the inaugural launch of a drafting style never done before (that i know of) and it had some problems, but all in all, i think it's do-able for now. someone posted a complete breakdown list of the position numbers and it didn't look too far off. i also like sly's formula as well.

4. as far as lifting the 2600 min rule on the two bench players... like i said before, i am not opposed to making changes, but this request seems a bit strained. there's hardly any money left for an owner to draft a full time player unless he intends to start this player rather than a player drafted in the first 5 rounds. i do not know what to make of that.

5. however, if the top slotted owners feel they have been short-changed, or the lower slotted owners feel they've been short-changed, or even the middle guys, i'll gladly trade away my bench2 slots (i have two of them) to anyone who wants them. not a problem at all. glad to do it. don't be shy.

6. finally, perhaps we might be able to "tweak" the 2bench round, where we allow one player not to exceed 2600 mins, and the other player has no mins limitations. i don't know how you guys feel about that, but it's a possibility.

7. so far, been a speedy draft... we are just experiencing our first "slow down". good job with proxies and smails

uh ya what 3000 min udrafted guy would be worth it at this point? I agree with an earlier point that 2600 min is extremely generous. Actually it should probably be lower in the future rather than higher! With that said is guy is listed in the data base with exactly 2600 min eligible in round 6?

I say quit your ******** eleibowitz. We've already beat this horse to death.

You chose # 2 for the same reason felon chose #22- to get top picks in 3 rounds and shafted in 3 rounds. It just so happens that the luck of the draw landed your top picks in the C, SG & 2Bench round.  What if they had landed in the C, SF & PG round? Would you still be whining about it?

eh I know Im ********.  Just trying to get rid of the min cap so I can take a player  that can be a real difference on the team.....  I have never seen anyone one of you use this guy but I won a championship with him in the open leagues.  This guy is a very good player, SIM wise.  And I can fit him in my line up no problem.  So Scud you wanna do a me a favor and get rid of that min cap????
