I'm referring more to their entire playoff run and the expectations of the team.  But yeah, their defense stepped up big-time.  And Dirk decided to take it to the paint and be a man instead of a fading away little ***** come crunch time.  He won a title because of it, too.

ugghhhh...yea i dont know what i was thinking passing up lucas....but the good thing is with 52 mil its a little easier to just platoon some LMBLs...bad thing is most of them have horrible defense and/or foul waaay too much

Oscar + Ginobili got me a title in the old structure... of course I drafted Big Ben in round 2 and waited till 3 to pick him up.

no way manu would have made it back to me though....really wanted his combo of 3s/assists/rebounds/defense...not many guys can do that

what draft spot did you have with that team ash?....seems like either big ben slipped in the 2nd or manu slipped in the 3rd

I'm glad.  Nash's defense was lower than I wanted (and tov% higher), Mookie's always been inconsistent for me (his best offensive season is lower ast%, higher tov% & lower efg% than Big Shot's, though he does have a slight edge on boards), and I don't care for any Glove seasons available for what I want to build.  Yeah, I took a rebounding hit, but I'll easily make up for it later.

I just like Payton a lot better than Billups. Nash is a bit weak for this league and his teams never win it. Mookie I don't like beacuse of the EFG%. I like Payton's 53% on 2pters a lot better than Billups 40%. And I'm glad that you are glad ash . 

I didn't want 2s... I wanted 3s.  Lots of them.  There's a significant difference in the ratio of FGA:3PA between the two.  Payton also has a higher usage & lower fta/poss, which takes away from the Admiral... and costs quite a bit more (though gives you a sizeable minute increase).  It all comes down to taste, though, and I'm not a big fan of CP3, which you proved could lead you to a title.  So can Billups.  I'm glad that you're glad that I'm glad that you're glad!  :D

i like both guards very much (i didn't before)... but if i had to choose between the two, payton, hands down. better def, boards better, steals the ball, nice efg% for his top season, and he makes 177- 3's. however, i agree with ash about billups's consistency. the sim loves this guy, and billups always outperforms his rl stats, and, he seems to make the players on his sim teams better. i wish i knew exactly how the engine's anamolies were factored into certain players and not others. ash seems to have a handle on that. he uncovered billups and kidd and made believers out of many of us in these leagues. look how early kidd now goes in these drafts (thanks to ash). still... payton's the man.  

I do appreciate ashe's teachings. He forgotten more about this stuff than I will ever be able to learn. Same to you scud. One of my biggest screw ups is that I've been using a different computer model for the past 2 years to evaluate and search for players. But, I've also been able to uncover a few over looked gems as well. Thanks for all your guy's help in the evals etc. Got an unexpected family death recently etc, that I am dealing with. Plus, after taking my lap top to the mountains last weekend my wife officially hates these draft leagues now. So I get the look of death, so to speak, if I stay on line for more then ten minutes after I get home from work LOL!
