I'm actually glad that you are doing the evals dh. If I took the laptop on vacation again this year my wife would kill me. Just need the draft to finish on time and NCIH to have the league number ready before Friday morning. Then its off to a remote area of Oregon.

1st round: Center wilt chamberlain 2nd overall pick in the draft. He gives me tons of team building options. Great rebounding, scoring and assists. Good defender, low fouls, shoots a high efg%. plays 46 minutes a game.

2nd round: Power Forward Wes Unseld another great rebounder, low usage, nice assist %, low tov and fouls for a big. Should compliment wilt with his low post game. 38 minutes a game

3rd round: Guard Manu Ginobili great role player 25 minutes a game. Back up PG/SG shoots the 3, nice rebounding and assist %, good defender, low tov and fouls. High usage player that can score.

4th round: Small Forward Charlie Edge another great role player, 24 minutes a game. Excellent rebounder, low tov and fouls, good defender. Can defend the sg position (helps hide richmond's defensive weakness)

5th round: Point Guard Terrell Brandon steady guard that can shoot the 3 ball. Plays good defense, low tov for a pg and doesn't foul. Assist% is also good. And he is a high usuage player that can score. 31 minutes a game.

6st round: Shooting Guard Mitch Richmond volume shooter hits alot of 3's can pass, 14% assist%. below average rebounder and weak defender however he does have a nice steal%. tov not bad for a volume shooter, won't hurt you with fouls. 38 minutes a game

Small Forward Kawhi Leonard excellent rookie season. 24 minutes a game. Good role player can hit the 3. Plays good defense lots of steals, very low fouls he doesn't turn the ball over, low usage%, good creb% of 22.8. Also can guard 3 position (helps to hide Richmonds defensive weakness)

Key undrafted player: Power Forward/Center (unnamed) 12 minutes a game, low usage% Creb% 39.3 low tov and fouls, average defender.

This team has the feel of a winner to me. But who knows...

coachcroft - Tim Duncan, John Stockton, Glen Rice, Detlef Schrempf, Mark Eaton, Joel Przybilla, Chris Gatling

It's nice to see Glen Rice getting drafted.....but unfortunately it's in the wrong league. He's great for the ODL where defense doesn't matter as much, teams don't have as much rebounding depth, and you are in need of good money bargains like Rice. He and Stockton will form the worst rebounding backcourt in the league. There's just no way he deserves to be a 3rd round pick. I don't think he should even be drafted in this league unless you have the perfect team around him. Schrempf is below average on the boards for a SF and so is Eaton at C. I just don't think you can win in this league if you can't hang in the rebound war. Stockton will have the offense scoring a bunch but it's not gonna be enough. Defensively, the Rice/Schrempf combo is gonna get abused. Nice start, but I think you blew it in rounds 3 and 4.

ginandjuice - Kevin Garnett, Kevin Love, Dana Barros, Jason Terry, Clifford Ray, Tree Rollins, J.R. Smith

KG is a great 1st round pick in the Ncih52 because he covers so many weaknesses. Terry/Barros are very weak on the boards in the backcourt but it's ok because you have KG at the 3 and got amazing boards from your 4/5. Tree/Ray foul way too much but it's ok because KG(and K-Love) don't foul at all. Barros isn't the best ast% PG but again, it's ok because KG is one of the best passing 3s. Awesome 3pt shooting on this team, should be one of the best at that. If you had better paint scoring to balance it out I would really love this team. Defense is just ok. The backcourt is kinda weak and you can't really hide Love with KG or Tree. You got an efficient team that passes well, rebounds, and kills teams from downtown. Should be a playoff team but I'm not sure a team with KG as the high usage guy can go far in the playoffs.

gunner21 - Oscar Robertson, Jerry Lucas, Bob Lanier, Larry Nance, Mo Cheeks, Nate McMillan, Roy Tarpley

I was feeling it until you drafted Mo and Nate and made Oscar your SG. He needs to be the PG. I like the frontcourt a lot. Good on boards, not a lot of fouls, passes well and the usage all fits with Oscar. All you needed was a 3pt bomber at SG. Cheeks will give you great D and more ast% but I think 3s were more important. You do now have an amazing passing team that should boost everyones fg% and the defense is great as well. Lucas is the only weak link and he will be covered by Lanier and maybe even Nance. Tarpley is a real nice backup big who gives the frontcourt some more boards and a backup scorer to Lanier, liked that pick. Never been a Nance fan. I think he's overrated but you got him in the 4th so that was good value. I don't see more than a 1st round exit for this squad if they do make the playoffs.

vancem - Bill Russell, Julius Erving, Steve Nash, Alonzo Mourning, A.C. Green, Arvydas Sabonis, Joe Dumars

Ryan Anderson! That was the guy I was thinking about for you in the 4th. With Anderson/Erving on the wings Anderson basically becomes a SG who also happens to have like 13% oreb. I like that combo a lot. Zo was a good pick though(I wanted him instead of Boozer). He'd way too good to be falling to the 4th round in this league. He gets to the line a ton, can be your main paint scorer, and getting defense that good in the 4th is rare. Nash is a beast in any league and with Erving you can let him guard the other teams worst backcourt player. Great value in the late 3rd round. Sabonis was kinda confusing. Not sure if that means you will use a lower minute Zo now. You do love Sabonis, I feel like he's on every one of your draft teams. I hope your using 98-99 Dumars, you need all those 3s. Like ash, I don't really care for the Russell/Erving start but I think you did a real nice job building around them. Not too sure what to expect here, but you never miss the playoffs so I'll say you get in.

not sure if ill get any more done tonight....you know what ill be doing at 830...should be able to get some done tomorrow though....its not like the league will fill anytime soon anyway...theres always stragglers

hate myself for saying this but....lets go heat!(really wanna see that lebron/durant matchup)

still confused on how you (not you specifically, but you as in the community) hate on Rice for defense then praise guys with about the same defense.  he's no longer a bargain bin player, btw.  The minutes formula straight rapes his value as a bargain guy.  He's actually better for a league like this where you need to spend more per minute.  The defense is bad (worse than I thought... I thought they had bumped it to 47 but it's really 32.  Still, that's 12 better than he was before) but his boards are more of a big deal tbh.

6/7/2012 8:36 PM
wow chris...that is some crazy low fouls.
6/7/2012 11:48 PM
i think 40+ mins of his awesome scoring at 8 mil is still a bargain...especially since you can stretch his mins more then say a guy who only plays 35 mpg...that comes in handy in the odl

also its easier to hate on guards with bad d who play sg/sf since its tough to find good sfs with good d that can guard sgs as well...its not like stockton can guard the good 2 guards while rice takes the pg

6/7/2012 11:52 PM
PG: Rajon Rondo
SG: Wesley Person
SF: Larry Bird
PF: Shawn Kemp
C: Samuel Dalembert

PG/SG: Jon Barry
PF/C: Chris Webber

This is a really high efg% team, and pretty good defensively too because I'm using the 90 DEF Bird as of now (might talk myself into switching to the more efficient season with DEF in the 60s). Starting lineup has really good rebounding, but the bench is light on boards so rebounding will probably be just a little above average. Should score a lot, but probably will foul too much and turn it over too much. I think it's a contender, but I see a lot of teams that look pretty good.

We also steal the ball pretty good. Very tempted to play press defense.

Sure he can.  Rice doesn't give you enough defensive boards to worry about his being only 80 or 90% at pg and his defense is already poor... I've been doing this for a while with bad defense SGs (did it with Redd in the ODL)
