man, I wanted Lanier. I can't believe somebody cut him. I'll pick in a little bit.

It would help next time, ncih, if you would send a sitemail out a day or two before we go on the clock - I had no idea we were on the clock until today because I don't just come check this forum all the time.

That was my error.

Worked 88 hours over the last nine days, so I am a little tired.

yeah I'm the dummy who cut Lanier.  Looked like by the time this team could win his size 17s
would be worn out.  So might as well hang around the lottery for a while and hope a Superstar
falls my way. First season in league so might have misjudged the talent?
7/11/2012 8:03 PM
He actually wore size 21, I used to watch him play at St. Bonnie with my Dad growing up.  What a great man and a monster on the court.
7/11/2012 8:10 PM
Even erred w/ shoe size.  That's a great memory crackatoeha I'm sure. Was St. Bonnie a div. 1 then?  If not who could've stopped
him?   Did he stay for four yrs.?
7/11/2012 9:29 PM
Yes they were.  He stayed 4 years as things were different back then.  They were a great rival with Niagra and Canisius in the Little three.  Calvin Murphy was with Niagra at that time but Lanier had no equal.  He got hurt in the NCAA in 1970 and missed out in Playing Artis Gilmore in the final four.  There was alot of talent back then as I recall, Sidney Wicks, Austin Carr to name a few but Lanier was the first pick overall that year.  Good times, good times.
