Challenge #1
This is an NFL challenge
This challenge will also have individual entries from each player
This challenge is due Sunday at noon, unless you choose to use players in the Thursday night game, in which case it is due for you by Thursday at 7. You CANNOT use the Monday night game.
For this challenge each player will create a team of 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 Defensive player
You must choose one player from each of the 8 divisions of the NFL
Here is how it is scored.
QB - 1 point every 20 yards passing. 4 points for touchdowns (QBs cannot scoring for rushing yards or rushing TDs)
RB - 1 point every 10 yards rushing. 6 points for touchdowns (RBs cannot score for receiving yards or receiving touchdowns or passing ones for that matter)
WR - 1 point every 10 yards receiving. 6 points for touchdowns. 1 point per reception. (WRs can only score for what they do receiving)
TE - 1 point every 10 yards receiving. 6 points for touchdowns. 1 point per reception. (TEs can only score for what they do receiving)
K - 3 points per field goal. 1 point per extra point
D - 2 points per tackle.
Each players points will also receive a multiple.
If a player appears at least once on all four tribes (any member of the tribe) that players points count once
If a player appears at least once on 3 of the 4 tribes (any member of the tribe) that player's points count twice
If a player appears at least once on only 2 of the 4 tribes (any member of the tribe) that player's points count three times
If a player appears at least once on only 1 of the 4 tribes (any member of the tribe) that player's points count four times
There are no captains for this challenge. The highest scoring individual member of each tribe will become the captain of their tribe.
In addition there will be immunity idol clues based on where you finish in the tribe. There are different idols hidden for each tribe. You will get a clue to your tribes' if you are one of the top 7 individual scoring members on your team. You can still guess for any idol. All idols will be hidden somewhere in a famous series of movies.
I will add up all the individual scores and average them to get the final total for each team (since we have uneven teams).
SPECIAL FOR THIS CHALLENGE ONLY
stevedotdec and redraider68 will also be submitting teams for this challenge. In order to give a further incentive to do well, if you beat both steve and dan at the challenge, then your tribe cannot vote you out.
Caveat to that. If all but one person or all members of a tribe beat both stevedotdec and redraider68 then you we be allowed to vote for anyone. Granted, it is unlikely you finished last anyway if your whole tribe beats them both, but maybe my cohosts are planning to suck on this first challenge. Who knows.
When you submit your picks, make sure to give me the position, the player and the team (especially important on defensive players). Remember no Lions or Ravens as they play on Monday night, and if you want any of the Thursday players, your picks are due earlier.
