nyaggie98 will captain the U2 Tribe, and peanutjets will be at the helm of the Milli Vanilli tribe, as their teams' scored the most points amongst their peers.

Tomorrows challenge will be up around Noon.

Challenge #8 – JUMP BALL

This challenge brought to you by Van Halen’s JUMP.  As we begin the new tribal section of the game, the NBA also conveniently begins the 2011 Season on Tuesday Night.

There are 3 NBA Games Tuesday Night.

For this challenge, each tribe must submit to me 4 players from three categories: 4 scorers, 4 rebounders, and 4 passers; ranked 1 to 4 in each of their categories, (1 being your top choice for that category).

Both tribes will automatically get 1 point for every point scored by your shooter, every rebound from your rebounder, and every assist from your passer who is on your (1) slot.

I will then look at the (2) slot for each category.  If your player in the (2) slot has less or equal points, boards, or assists than the player you chose above him in that category, you will get his 2 Times his points, and I will continue down to the (3) slot. The (3) slot will be triple points, and the (4) slot 4x.  If at any time the player you listed in the slot BELOW the player has more points, boards, or assists, I will stop there and you can no longer get any points for that category in the slots below that one.

RULE #1 – You can not use two players from the same team in any one category.
RULE #2 – You can not use the same PLAYER twice at all in this challenge.

 Total points from three categories combined wins.  Losing team votes

After rereading the challenge, I realized I had left out or equal.  I edited above, but wanted you to be aware that if your slot two and slot three are tied, that is ok.  If the lower slot has MORE of that category then you no longer get scoring for that category from that point on.

So far Rondo with 17 assists... unless nash can pull out 18, the assists won't matter.

This scoring is too complicated for me. I thought U2 won, but Brooks scored more than Wade and more than Roy. Does that mean that U2 looses points for their #2 and #3 slots or what?

One more stinking rebound by either Gasol or Ming and the losers could have pulled it out.  Without that U2 wins 245-218.

Nevermind.  I guess this just goes to show that I shouldn't play with Excel at 1:30 in the morning.

I have (27 + 24(X2) + 13(X3)) + (10) + (6) = 130 points for U2 tribe.
And (27 + 26(X2) + 24(X3) + 9(X4)) + (11 + 9(X2)) + (6) =  222 points for Milli Vanilli tribe. 

I show the same as buck. U2 got worked...
