Ladies and Gentlemen...... Most excellent members of the jury....
Fellow Americans......
I stand before you on this wonderful election day with only two wishes. I beg of all of you who are reading, waiting, and preparing to cast your vote..... to grant me just these two simple requests before making any decisions on who you vote for as champion for Survivor IX: Americana.
First, I would request you all sit back, crack open a Budweiser, and think:
Americana.. Who's moniker do you want to be associated in the history books as the king of
Survivor Americana?
muddapucka? or POLABONEZ? i ask that you decide
WHO's name jumps out at you when you peer upon all of the remarkable American Symbols in this slightly subliminal, slightly homemade, short
video clip containin
g ALLTHAT IS RIGHT with AMERICA. Because truthfully voters... AMERICA does not deserve second best! Feel free to keep playing the patriotic music in the background as I finish my campaigning.
Secondly, before I explain my story I ask that you take a deep breath, have another drink of Bud, and try to set your mind in my story as if you were playing as me. I know my name got thrown around in many stories, some true, some I'm sure untrue, some good, some bad, some funny, and some just plain dickish - and sometimes it wasn't even me (poiabonez). Think how you would have played, and then decide if I
really was the bad guy.
Here is my story:
Prior to the game even starting, I joined an alliance with awags and muddapucka. The cards hadn't even been dealt yet and there were three of us. As soon as tribes were formed, csudak, onside, and I formed a separate alliance within Washington and worked together for pretty much the rest of the game. I considered these men my family. Some of my family members had strong alliances (acres and peanut) and I did my best to protect everyone involved, but mostly - as all good American's do, my mission was to protect my family. Sometimes I had to throw stories around, sometimes I had to pass idols, and most of the time I took the bad rap for doing the dirty work but all-in-all it was for the same goal, a goal that was accomplished all the way down to the wire.
There really were only two major times that I went against the grain and shook feathers for no reason -
One was towards da_goat and the fake idol of little Talliwack passing. I know your vote is probably not coming my way goat no matter what I say - but I will be honest - I had been trying to set up this fake play for long before you and I ever talked with multiple people. It just so happens that all the stars aligned when you sitemailed me and asked for my idol on a night when I came home drunk for the bar. I'm sorry for the embarrassment, but you have to admit - it
was pretty god damned funny, even if it had to be at your expense. Since I'm being honest - I'll tell you that I probably wouldn't have done it had I anticipated peanutjets to get disqualified (meaning you were the first one off the jury), but I guess that's what I get for playing with fire anyways.
The other was the ousting of acres. This was planned by everyone to be a 3-3 tie between onside and acres - which would have been a revote. But the way I saw it - it was only delaying the game, and I didn't see any harm in speeding up the process, where I assumed either mudda or Casey would switch and vote for onside or acres anyways, and if they both did the revote could cause myself to be in a potential situation. So I apologize acres - but we all knew once we all made it to 6 it was going to be full of hard decisions, and I was forced to make one there.
Choosing who to bring with me in the finals sucked, because both awags and muddapucka played one hell of a game, and I worked with both all game. I never liked voting out csudak or onside either, but, as any past or present American would know (and as I mentioned before), you can only get so far before you have to make a hard decision.
Mudda is absolutely correct when he says that I made him post and declare the jury members losers... but it wasn't just my
funny idea. I needed to show you that although mudda played the passive role all game - when threatened to survive - he would not pull any punches. I told both awags and mudda to post these comments and I would base my decision on who I was bringing to the final two on them.... . As you can see, even the
good dog will bite when he's put in the corner. So should I be blamed for doing the same?
Sure, I got my hands dirty, but had I not been the one doing it.... there is a good chance that the crew that is here voting for or against me would not be the same people. For instance:
I'm sure most know that I contacted dawgnuts and made up stories about sjurat to hopefully influence him when the Jefferson tribe was at a 4-3 with him, golfpro, da_goat, and sjurat. I had a feeling dawgnuts was the newcomer, and anything I could say or do to help out onside, acres, and awags I had to try - even though I knew it would create a negative on my name. I felt I had to get my hands dirty, and had I not, I guarantee mudda would have..... So let me ask you this fellow patriots - should I be reprimanded for jumping into the water first?
Every move I made was unselfish, and to protect the people that I was close to . Now
that, my friends, is Patriotism
I guess I should bring up one more thing, fellow Americans. I did not have to cheat to get here. In fact, if I could remind you of the
FINKLE IS EINHORN part of this thread, when
Americana ousted the trio of tubby7242, damagee, and bigorange64..... I can now tell you all that
I am in fact Americana. It was a two man team - csudak and I worked together to determine that we were 95% sure that the three were the same person, I created the three websites logging the IP's of the perpetrators and we ousted them to bfkfraser- bringing Justice to this great game, AND this great country.
Mudda says he outplayed, outwitted, and outlasted... But did he outplay and outwit? Or did he sit out
side?
I will leave you all with that to decide.
I am here now on this podium, asking for your votes.... Because frankly, I think I deserve it. I think
I outwitted, outsmarted, and outplayed.
I think the integrity of this
game and how it has to be played to
survive deserves it.
Most importantly, I think.......
AMERICA deserves it.
