My question is for awags:

How do you explain how the following sentences from your final plea to the jury do not contradict one another?

"I used a 4th idol to eliminate the biggest threat from making the final (sorry stevedotdec)."

and

"I was a mastermind of this game, but I didn't have to rely upon backstabbing to be in control."

Without giving away too much to everyone else, you do realize the agreements you had in place?  (On a side note, I have no idea how I could possibly been considered the biggest threat...)

As I recall, it was your OOC schedule that got you the NC appearance after losing to Miami in the regular season and not making the CC.  You beat a lot of top 25 teams OOC, so you did make the schedule that got you there.

Granted, the NC game wasn't everything it could've been.  Why wasn't Florida there, ebel?  LOL

This is for either finalist: I would like to hear more about this final 2 deal between Arfy and Awags.

Thanks for the question Steve. I realize that it's unlikely that I'll earn your vote, but I don't mind explaining my reasoning. I believe that you intended to get to a final three with mr_mojo and bfkfraser, just as you had in a past survivor. I was in this alliance with a disadvantage that could only be overcome by numbers. It's almost like we all had a number on us, my number was 4 and nelsonba25's was 5. Being number four gives me no opportunity to win the game. By eliminating you I gave myself and nelsonba25 a fair chance to make the final. Further evidence can be found on page 46 of this thread, in your statement of "wow" when bfkfraser was sent home indicated that you were surprised by the vote. Why would you be? Everyone up for vote was in our alliance. I felt that you were thinking nelsonba25 was going to voted out because he was #5.I did not enjoy the endgame of this Survivor. Every vote I was sending home someone that I was friends with and had known for a long time. Unfortunately, that is the result of my plan to fill the jury with allies.

Thanks for the question nelsonba25. Arfy's statement about a final two deal is completely fabricated. I was hesitant about working with him from the beginning because of his past survivor behavior. He has made several illogical and irrational decisions which has often led him to an early exit. However, we are friends and I was convinced that if I took him under my wing that it could benefit us both. It paid off early on as he had infiltrated the 2 large alliances and kept me informed. I used that information to formulate strategies and to determine who were threats to my alliance. However, later in the game he went back to being the old arfy, he tipped off onside that he was being voted out, sent out some undermining sitemails and lied in his final speech. If we had a final 2 agreement why was he sending me sitemails in the last couple weeks not thinking he could get past 5? He got lucky in a couple challenges at the end and that's why we are here now.

In response to Nelsons questions and Awags answer:

MY understanding was that we had a final two deal.  Whether these were the exact words, I don't recall.  But I never thought reason to think otherwise.   If I didn't think I had a final two deal with Awags.  Do you really think I would have selected him over Mr. Mojo?  In fact I pretty much told Mr. Mojo this without actually saying it. We(Me and Awags)  talked on the phone several times and also exchanged text messages often.   In fact, I remember being told that we had a final three deal with me, Awags, and Nelson.  Even though I didn't hear it from you(Nelson)  directly.  I did tip off Onside as a good will gesture towards him.  I didn't really feel there was anything he could do about it anyway and just wanted to be up front with him on this issue.  As far as undermining sitemails and lieing in my final speech as Awags has mentioned.  Not true..  Although I  did send Mr. Mojo a sitemail when we got to final 4.  I told him that we needed to get rid of you(Nelson) and that he would be gone if he voted that way.   I then made a case for myself with Mr. Mojo in case he won the last immunity challenge.  When we got down to the last couple of weeks, I Was concerned because my contact with Awags had been very little at this point and I saw clues that maybe I was in jeopardy.  And I guess I "got lucky" winning three straight challenges.  I feel I need to apologize to Polabonez for my partner calling his challenges "luck".   Maybe Awags thinks we should just roll dice in the future.

I don't have a final two deal with anybody. I expect that I will need to win that challenge in order to make sure I make the final two.

Gotcha!

Just out of curiosity. I'm assuming you have a final two deal with Nelson. How much do you believe he will actually take you if its his choice? Just wondering. Gimme a percentage.

Is this the vote where Nelson flipped sides and is no longer voting with those other guys? Is that why Stevedotec seemed so surprised?

I assumed when he told me this that he meant he doesn't have a final two with anybody else.
