I've really enjoyed this "season" of Survivor. Thanks for doing all of the hard work that is necessary to run this game. I figure you are looking forward to getting my letter, because you know I'm running this thing. I decided to put some effort into the Idols this time, and I'm surpised at how enjoyable and sort of addicting it can be to solve the riddles. A game within a game. The Tombstone idol was a little troublesome, because there's about a million movies made about the gunfight at the OK Corral. The "wink-start" clue helped me narrow it down. QBert was the easiest, even though I never really played that game. I spent all my childhood quarters on Dig Dug.
This is my third time playing Survivor, but it's the first time that I've started the game with established enemies. In particular - livemike and dublinuf and in general - the whole dagoat - golfpro71 alliance. Livemike lied and doublecrossed his way through the first game and was the reason I got voted out. He's a snake and I took him out with the first vote. I eliminated dublinuf in that previous game, and he's been against me ever since. He was the first to go from my tribe, thanks to me. The dagoat group lied about allying with me in the last game, so this game I knew they could be trouble for me. I used one of my three idols to orchestrate his removal from the game. He never saw it coming.
Which brings me to the wildpike "super-alliance." Wildpike approached seven different people to make a super alliance and just assumed that they were all game because he asked them to join up. Sure. Why would anyone lie in a game of Survivor? At least half of his alliance just played along and they're still playing dumb. I passed my idol that was going to expire to bfkfrasier. He played it on nelson - the target of the alliance and atcchris, who had no idea why it was used on him. End result, the other half of the super alliance is fractured and filled with doubt, believing that atcchris is a traitor of some kind. We put him out of his misery at the next tribal vote.
Given all of the above, I'm still not super confident that I will win the game. Anything can happen. However, if you remember, several weeks ago, I sent you a sitemail detailing who I thought would be the final nine. Spot on. Now I just need them to vote for me.
