GAME 1 RECAP

In a display of power, the USC Trojans controlled the game from the half on. Behind Paul Harrison and his 33 completions (for 351 yards and a touchdown) and Bryan McClure's 2 TDs. In defeating the Cornhuskers, USC also had a dominant defense, forcing two fumbles, an interception, and knocking down 7 passes.

The Cornhuskers, led by sophomore David Colon, just didn't have the ability to keep it close. After a 10-10 half, where Nebraska was arguably the better team, and Colon's second of two TD passes on their first possession of the second half, they were unable to score again, allowing 27 unanswered points to be put up by USC before the final whistle blew.

Player of the Game: Thomas Adams, 10 Rec, 171 yards, and 73 YAC on 13 Targets

GAME 2 RECAP

The Buckeyes and the Longhorns faced off, and boy was it a battle. After a scoreless first period, UT drew first blood with a field goal by Terry Dean, who scored all 12 of their points. The Buckeyes marched down the field and answered with a touchdown, and at half the score was 7-6 OSU.

OSU then outscored the Longhorns 10-3 in the third period, and they were ahead for good. UT couldn't muster much offense against OSU's stellar defense, as Michael Bush threw for a subpar 170 yards and no touchdowns.

The Buckeyes' were led by Robert Rogers' two touchdowns and Sammy "Speedy" Martin's 107 receiving yards. They also won the all important turnover battle, forcing 2 fumbles (1 recovered) and an interception, while being very stingy with the ball themselves. My pick for National Champs showed their prowess here.

Player of the Game: DL James Snow, 8 tackles and 3 sacks

GAME 3 PREVIEW

In this epic battle, undefeated #2 Michigan takes on undefeated #22 Florida. The Gators, though ranked low, are going to be a tough team for Michigan, who will be facing stud QB Todd Burch  and his arsenal of WRs (including Russell Mayer and Jack Mitchell). In order to counter these three stars, Michigan starts 5 DBs, most notably Paul Adams

The Wolverine offensive attack consists of senior RB Raymond Hastings, sophomore QB Jose Johnston, and sophomore WR Barry Howard. The Florida Defense is headlined by John Smith, who has four sacks in two games.

Previous games:

Florida
vs. Arkansas State
vs. Ball State

Michigan
vs Ohio
vs. Central Michigan

The Prediction: This is the first test of the season for both teams, and so expect a little rustiness but plenty of competitiveness. Even though John Smith is a defensive force, look for the Wolverines to pull ahead early and grab their 3rd W, 28-21.

Wow. I found this thread tucked away nicely back on page4. Does anyone know what happened to the Heisman season? Did it get cancelled?  No updates.

Maybe the author of this thread got stuck in Vegas, idk.

Even though I didn't finish this thread, I would like to commend myself on the pick of Texas A&M as my breakout team. Top 5, playing in a Level 5 bowl and leading at half.

I am a wizard.
