cjl9652, i hear you frustration ... I coached for about 10 seasons at Hawaii and i have been able to play 2 BCS bowl games with my teams ... I was used to sked very tough OOC games and after it was tough to keep my SOS ... I remember during season 84 i was ranked number 1 at half season and i finished 7th after a L in my bowl game ag. Michigan ... I was close to the title game but my conference killed my SOS .

cjl9652 - If you want to schedule OOC let me know. I'm doing home at homes with Florida and really will take challenges in OOC. My goal every year is to win the P12. Everything else is out of my control.

If you want to come on the show next week, there should be a spot open on either day. Feel free to come on and debate. The drama makes this fun. 

I'm excited to watch how this plays out at D1A. I think it's Penn State vs Tennessee but truthfully, this is completely wide open. There is a chance that you all will be heading into conference championships with about a dozen potential combinations. 

Well, cjl, you can't complain about ND not doing their part to help boost your rankings....

Your recruiting strategy should be a blueprint for all schools who aren't in a recruiting hotbed and/or are playing in a conference that doesn't get a lot of playoff money.  

I have a D1AA team who plays in a largely empty conference who started out conference play ranked #6 and as the SIM games progress, I am slowly slipping down the rankings.  Fortunately there are playoffs in D1AA.

No problem. I like the controversy that is going on in D1 right now. It livens the game up a lot. There are some very good cases you made about the Championship game. Yes Tennessee and Penn St look to be the heavy favorites, but we have Tenn on the schedule here in a few days and if we can get past them, Bama, and South Carolina; we should go into the final rankings having the number one SOS giving we win those games and the CC. I think a one loss Florida team gets in over an undefeated Texas or Ohio St. mainly because their SOS is not that good.<br />
As far as Nevada goes, cjl you are doing great things with that team and they are a very good team. The thing is even with an undefeated record, I don't see them getting in just because of the conference SOS. I have home and home games right now with USC, California, and UCLA. I am willing to add Nevada to that list if you want to.<br />

The best part of USC's week 1 win over Florida is every time I lose to cfbfan18 from now on I can just post 81-14. That's worth like 4-5 wins in a rivalry right?

I can't freaking score on North Carolina. Played them last two years, lost both games by a total of 7(?) points, but only scored a total of about 20. Just can't get into the end zone.

LOL!! Yea I agree that is worth 4-5 seasons. I just hope we can beat you 4-5 seasons in our rivalry. We are only losing three offensive and three or four defensive starters, so next season should be a great season for UF.

I'd be happy to add USC and Florida to our OOC games. Bailey did mention during recruiting that he really wanted to play on that Trojan field and I'd hate to disappoint him...

cjl, what you really need to do is recruit a bunch of guys to move into the WAC. That would be the best way to up your SOS.

cj, bossmao is not in danger to lose his job right now cause he is not in jeopardy ... He would survive a tough season .

Hmmm, so "In little to no jeopardy" would mean that he has this season or next season to turn it around? I knew that to be the case for 1AA, I thought things were stricter for 1A. Thanks for heads up. I've got that down for the future. 

After a tough season his status will drop to : in jeopardy but will not lose his job after the season ... 
Next season ( if his status is in jeopardy ) he would be in danger to be fired ... But he is not in danger after this actual season .

In your blogspot you say that bossmao could be fired after this season ... It will not happen after this season .
