ACC-Big Ten Challenge Topic

Season 48 of Allen will mark the inaugural ACC-Big Ten Challenge.

The ACC has long been universally considered by fans and media alike as the top conference in Allen, and has produced the last four national champions. The last non-ACC team to cut down the nets? Northwestern, from our friendly Midwestern neighbor, the Big Ten.

And now that the Big Ten seems poised to break through as a dominant conference, it feels only natural to reprise the real-life Challenge and settle the issue of conference supremacy on the court.

Here are the pairings for Season 48 (Ohio State and Minnesota already have full schedules ... rumors that mamxet did so purely to duck the ACC have pretty much been substantiated), all games are Week 4 unless otherwise noted:

MSU @ Duke (Week 5)
BC @ Iowa
IL @ UVA (Week 6)
Clemson @ Indiana
NW @ UNC
GTech @ Notre Dame (Week 6)
Michigan @ Miami
Maryland @ Wisconsin
Penn State @ NC State
Va Tech @ Purdue

Mamxet's reaction after scheduling his 10th
and final non-con game, thus ensuring that
he will completely avoid playing the ACC.

jslotman's first purchase after learning that his long-running request to face
girt25/daalter in a non-conference game has finally been granted.

mamxet is a chump!  you don't deserve to be in such a prestigious conference as the little ten.

I sure feel bad for the other 11 teams.

For the record, we will be "welcoming" brike and his sissy BC boys back to Iowa City in week 3.  The challenge was already sent before the Big 10-ACC challenge idea got floated.

someone once asked me what my prediction was for this fight.... my answer, "pain."

I still need to schedule UNC and Virginia as part of my scheduling project (see Allen forum). If you could work that out for me for the following season, that would be superb.

Why do you guys wait so long to fill your schedules?

I believe that all of the matchups for the first ACC-Big Ten Challenge are now set.

Vegas oddsmakers have installed the ACC as a prohibitive 1-4 favorite. Word on the street is that several of the ACC coaches have taken out second mortgages in an effort to fully capitalize.

I borrowed from a loan shark and plan to bet the house.  I'm just a little concerned when I go to put my money down.  The spreads will be ridiculous!  When WIS puts a spread of  -47 or so on each ACC team its going to be tough to cover. Eh... I have faith that 80% of us will do it.
