Hasn't murdered millions of people yet, you mean.
Actually, I was thinking more about the "prey(ing) on the fearful and naive" part.
Geez,  Then you can put Bush's picture on there too then.

And Bush Sr.
And Reagan.
And Carter.
And Nixon.
And LBJ.
And Kennedy.
And Eisenhower.
And Truman.
And FDR.
And ...

It really ****** me off when people compare Hitler to any US President.

That is better than Bush at the wheel.

Seriously.  There's economic theory, and then there's the completely inept and corrupt implementation of that that theory.  The two have very little to do with one another.

Every time you get the government involved, corruption happens.

First, corruption can exist within a government without crippling the government.  Second, where does the influence for that corruption come from?
Pretty sure it says somewhere that the LOVE of money is the root of all evil . . . . . . . . . .

Think I've heard that before.  See, capitalism and socialism both suffer from the same disease......and that would be the greed of man.

And that is something we can agree on.  In my basic Economics class, the kids all seem to think that the ideals behind communism are pretty good, and I do not necessarily disagree with them, but we all agree that any implementation is completely screwed up by the PEOPLE who are leading the change.

Same thing goes for just about any human system.  Looks good on paper, but then we mess it up.

Yep.  We suck.

To say that every system is equal because humans can screw it up is incorrect.

Capatalism has proven time and again to work on all levels.

Communism has never worked ever. And it cannot even be attempted in any kind of free society.

You are an idiot!

What a wise response.

Tell me where Capitalism failed and Communism  worked!

As a general rule, extremism is a pretty terrible thing. A completely unfettered free market would be as much of a nightmare as a completely government controlled economy.

Of course a radical extreme is bad. No one anywhere is saying no rules at all.

We need to be as close to free market as is possible. We have went radically towards central Government control in the last 40 years.
