Damn.  mink signed Dewey Hill?  I didn't even know Hill was still alive.  That guy feels like he has been around forever.

I'm after 2 players right now and I'm pretty much at my max offer for both of them. Anything more is not justifiable - based on their talent. Got my fingers crossed they sign with me next cycle.

I can go way higher on the three targets I'm still looking at, but I'm trying not to go overboard.  Will probably lose one or more of them as a result, but there will be lots of nice options near the end, and/or I can trade for a big ticket player.

If I can get 1 of the 2 signed I'd be okay with that. I'm getting worried now that some of the big names are off the table - those with cash free'd up will find my targets.

I have what I think is a really strong offer (strong enough I keep almost pulling back, although I realize that probably just means it's even) out for a SP.  If it were to get accepted, I'll have to shift the FA strategy toward more bats on the fly.
