The HTCs are nice...  Most of the electronics at home are Apple though and I have done some really nice things at getting everything to function together...  so I want to stick with the iPhone.  Bringing up music and movies from my laptop in my room and shooting them to the TV/surround sound in the living room while not leaving the couch is one such thing.

4G is more of a marketing term than a technology advantage.

I don't think I can get Sprint or T-Mobile at my house. The coverage isn't there. I just installed an AT&T Microcell at the house and now I have five bars everywhere. Previously, conversations were liable to drop if I walked throughout the house.

You definitely would know. I know the iPhone is all mktg w 4g ... g meaning generation of phone not network.

Is there not much difference between Sprint 4g vs 3g or Verizon 3g vs LTE (whatever its called)?

Yea at that point you pretty much have to stay apple. I'm the same way with Google between gmail Google calendar with my wife and Google voice which is why I didn't even have to text on my phone to post this. manual labor sucks .
