A lot of good players I couldn't see, but Graffanino was ranked 2 on my board.  I imagine he won't look nearly as good to me in 2 hours, but whatever.  Got some reasonable arms and role players really late in a draft where I only expected to get one player of note, so I'm happy.

Yeah, basically the kind of draft I was hoping for given the amount of time to prepare - probably could have done better, but whoever takes over long-term should get some solid benefit from it.

He's 18, though. Too many people I think avoid HS prospects because they assume they won't develop, but that's only because people are expecting them to be in the ML in three seasons. If you take some time to move them along properly, they'll hit their numbers.

kinda the reverse for me, had the feeling i might come away with some decent relievers after round 1, but only my top pick can ever sniff the majors in all likelihood

im no HBD savant, but my guess is Bates ends up with above average overall numbers
