Bates health and makeup are very mediocre, and he is so far from his projections
He's 18, though. Too many people I think avoid HS prospects because they assume they won't develop, but that's only because people are expecting them to be in the ML in three seasons. If you take some time to move them along properly, they'll hit their numbers.
im no HBD savant, but my guess is Bates ends up with above average overall numbers
I think he's fine if he's used right. Maybe an strict 98% rest throughout the minors, or something.

I was actually disappointed that I didn't get C Willis Matthews with my first round pick. I bumped him up and thought I could get him:

I liked Matthews a lot, but even with the difference in makeup, I still had Forrester one place higher.  Based on my projections, Forrester has a higher PC, vL, vR, BE and hits from both sides.  We will see how the combination of one year younger but a lot less makeup factors in.
